Hotel Grimsborgir was in a fabulous location on The Golden Circle. We loved the seclusion of the hotel and its intimacy. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were well stocked. While the hot tubs were very accessible, we were there in late December in difficult weather so we chose not to use them. We also don't have photos...

My partner and I just checked out from a 3 night stay (spent previous 2 nights at Budir in Snaefellesnes). Some good and not so good points. Pros: * Good location for exploring the South Coast. * Hotel is clean. Rooms are well-maintained, bathrooms very clean. * Breakfast is very good, and included in the rate. * Nice coffee /...

We were 2 families with teens and kids from 9 yo. This was billed as a luxury hotel, more expensive than Hotel Ranga. Well, the only thing that wasn't made in Ikea was the bathroom appliances and the food. Really, I know Iceland's hotels are overall below international standard but to walk into a place that looks like an Ikea...

the location was excellent. We were a group of 5 - 2 families and they had us in.a 4 bedroom suite- which was in fact a beautiful luxury home with amazing views, outdoor access from almost every room, beautifully appointed, private and with a private jacuzzi. We used the private shuttle service a couple of times and it was great...

This hotel is in the middle of most attractions in golden circle, close to everything around and they had nice fireworks for new year. Great staff very sweet people. Don't miss Fontana Spa close by and the secret lagoon.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Grimsborgir in early January 2017 and had an unpleasant experience. As I checked in the older front desk lady seemed like I bothered her when I told her we had a reservation. We checked in and she gave us the keys and said we can drive to the back of the hotel...

The house has great facilities, comfortable bedrooms, plenty of room in the bathroom, big and open kitchen and great living room for the family to sit down in the...

My family and I spent one (1) night at the Hotel Grimsborgir in early September and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We paid ~$350 for one (1) night which is not to off from the average hotel cost. The hotel is quite remote and that's a good thing as it is peaceful. We arrived in the afternoon and checked in at the...
