We are having a great stay at this guesthouse! We had some trouble with noisy neighbours, but we could change the room immediately and the owners surprised us with a bottle of wine and chocolats the morning after! The lady of the house is very friendly, the room is clean and cosy and the location is perfect for making trips in the region. There is a lot of parking space in front of the guesthouse and the whole place has a very nice atmosphere. Breakfast is also very good, with warm wafels and good coffee! Definitely a very nice place to stay while traveling through this part of Iceland!

Really lovely and stylish little guesthouse, very comfortable bed, soft blankets and pillows. We got private bathroom in spite we didn't expect it. The breakfast was excellent: toasts, omelette, cheese, homemade waffles, jam, skyr, maple syrup, orange juice and tea... Very friendly hosts. They left detailed instructions for our check-in in the evening. The house is 500m from the Fontana spa - great and relaxing experience.

Our beds were comfy. Pillows soft but needed a bit more filling. Nice hot rain shower. Hot water pot in room. Really filling breakfast with eggs, waffles, toast, Skyr. Best we had in Iceland. Good espresso.
Our room looked nothing like the pics on website ( white walls and lovely light blue bedding) Our room was a twin bed room. But it was dark and small. We did have our own bath which was great.

Stayed at Galleri Laugarvatn for 2 nights recently and was very disappointed. It looks like the whole place is shutting down, the gift shop had been emptied out and the cafe was not open to the public. This was our 4th stop on our Iceland trip and it was a let down, compared to what we had previously experienced. Our room was cold, we found 3 large spiders on the first night, there was no breakfast tea bags in room, lights stayed on in the porch all night, with no way of switching them off. Breakfast room was cold, no choice given for breakfast, it was laid out in advance, regardless if you liked any of it. The host hardly even spoke to us. It really felt like zero effort made for the duration of our stay. A few positives were that we tasted the Laugarvatn rye bread in the Fontana Spa cafe and we saw the northern lights.

We stayed there for 1 night. The stuff is totally friendly. Room is ok for the night and the breakfast is normal for the guesthouses in iceland. We got good informations about the village und went to the fontana for a dinner buffet (which cost around 4500isk)

Great Golden Circle location accessible to geysir. In a small town that has a gas station and one very nice restautant (Lindin). Simple German / Continental breakfast. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. An incredible bathroom, but it can be shared by up to 3 rooms (6 people).

We had a lovely two night stay here in February 2012. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were friendly and helpful providing advice on where to visit in the local area and where to eat. The breakfast was lovely and served in the lovely gallery area. A really great place to stay which we don't hesitate to recommend.

We stayed at Galleri Laugarvatn for two nights in December. It was wonderful. The hosts were as delightful as their art gallery, where a lovely breakfast is served. The location is perfect for excursions up to Geysir and Gullfoss. We spent an evening soaking and steaming at the Laugarvatn Fontana steam baths. Much cheaper, although different, than the Blue Lagoon! We had a very relaxing time here. Highly recommended!

We spent here the last but one night of our staying in Iceland in June. We were absolutely impressed by the warmth and the cosiness of this small guesthouse. I would rather say it is an art-guesthouse. The artistic decoration of the rooms (and the bathroom as well) creates a unique atmosphere - you feel like at home. Excellent breakfast, friendly hosts - this was the crowning of our journey!

I have been there with my gf during a trip in South Iceland. We run out of gas in Laugarvatn, so we stopped at N1 gas station. A bit further along the same road we spotted this nice b&b. Unfortunately it was fully booked, but the host showed us a room and we booked it for the night after. The owner (an Icelandic craft artist) was not there in that week and a friend of her was in charge of the b&b. Herself an artist from Reykjavik, she gave us a very warm welcoming in Laugarvatn. Her courtesy was amazing and so was her English. Among the neat details of this place, I need to mention the breakfast in the small art gallery/shop with waffles and a delicious homemade trout salad. Impossible to forget the most comfortable bathroom I have ever used in my life.
Another plus: the location is ideal for hikes in the beautiful Þingvellir national park.
