Cheap place to sleep for one night. We needed a hotel last minute and this one worked out well. It was inexpensive clean and comfortable. The horses were super cute to pet. Breakfast was basic as is typical for Iceland. We were in the main building so the door slammed as people came in and out In the morning so that wasn’t the best. For one night this hotel was the cheapest we found and sufficient for the night.

Great hotel for the price. It was reasonably priced with all the necessary amenities. The staff at the bar was very friendly and nice as well. It is also near a great waterfall that we wouldn’t have even know was there if we hadn’t stayed there. It felt very secluded with minimal light pollution and could be a great place to see the northern lights!

It’s a beautiful location and the rooms are very new and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. However there were two major problems and management does not appear to to own up. In the middle of the night the fire alarm started beeping and the emergency number was not working to get someone to turn it off. No one is at the location. In addition, one of the mattresses was completely “shot” (this seems to be an endemic issue with Icelandic hotels). Reviews indicate most folks have a great experience here, ours was the worst. Decent hotels would comp you for the lost nights sleep, but they do not. Shame on them. BTW, the restaurant is OK, but there are far better options in town.

This hotel is far too expensive. It's a poor 2-star hotel, the bed was very uncomfortable and the toilet so small that I had a problem sitting on it. The room was so poorly insulated that I could hear what people were saying in the hallway

This ‘hotel’ is situated in a nice location surrounded by great views! The accommodation is basic but provides just what’s required… comfortable bed, kettle for tea/coffee and little en-suite. The breakfast spread was continental with juice, tea/coffee and some fresh croissants. A nice stay while travelling around Iceland!

I have written a TripAdvisor review of my earlier stay at Hótel Geirland in 2017 which I termed "The Worst Hotel Experience in Iceland." We stayed again this month (Aug 2022) and the experience was considerably better. The Good: - Renovated rooms are large and comfortable. The Bad: - Every time someone opened the main door to the building it would close hard and loudly rattle the doors of every other room. What a disaster! An easy fix would be to install a soft close mechanism. Instead they have a written note with a request to close the door gently which, as you can guess, is almost always missed and/or ignored. - Impersonal experience. The staff are simply doing the job, there is no 'hospitality' here. You'll be lucky to encounter any Icelander; the crew are all foreigners. If this is simply your one-night stop to rest your body, it is okay. Expect anything more and you are likely to be disappointed.

We stayed here one night in one of the hotel-style rooms. It was clean and comfortable. The room was fairly large but the bathroom was really small. The sink was so small that it was awkward to use. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with some hills behind it. There is a restaurant on site. We got there right before they were going to close (around 8:30) and were very grateful they were still able to accommodate us for dinner because we were starving. We got the chicken and it was fantastic. Breakfast was good but had fewer options than some of the other hotels we stayed in.

This hotel just offers bed, showers and breakfast while driving the coast. Bed is good. Been here two times. Dinner is good. Breakfast mediocre. I missed a chair and a fridge in the room. Dinner and breakfast has very limited hours so a better possibility to prepare simple sandwiches in the room could have helped. The hotel is fair and square for a night or two.

The room was very comfortable, cozy and clean, the dinner and breakfast were very good. The only bad thing was that the TV never worked and when I called asking for help they just said: "oh I am sorry we can't do anything about it" same as the next morning. They say it's a problem with all the TVs and the company that provides the service. So in that case is better not to offer this service if you can't offer any solution or caring about providing a nice customer service.

A nice Hotel. Good rooms, comfortable beds, good shower with a strong pressure and water flow. Very warm inside. This Hotel rescued us as our previous Hotel had cancelled our booking without telling us anything. The breakfast was also good.
