Great clean and cute little cabins with Sid roofs! Heated floor in bathroom. Great food and a hearty breakfast. Highly recommend! A perfect stop if you are traveling the Ring road. Beautiful view of a pond and spillway from the room. The snow cover makes everything beautiful

Excellent experience. The cabins were comfortable and offered great views. A good spot to watch northern lights if the sky is clear. Dinner was fantastic! Great soup, fish and chocolate cake. Would love to stay here again.

Our itinerary allowed my wife and I to stay at Magma Hotel twice (with a night separating the stays) and we were very grateful for that! Both nights offered an amazing experience with our second night being located on one of the lake side cabins! Everything about Magma was perfect, and out of all the places that we stayed during our time in Iceland this was by far our top pic. It offers great value for the money, especially if you include the breakfast (which was incredible)! Additional note: We ate dinner at the hotel our first night there and that experience was fantastic as well!

A lovely stay . We only were there for one night but thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return one day .and stay longer . A really nice position overlooking a lake , a nice touch to have binoculars in the room to watch the various birds.. The breakfast was very good and the staff pleasant and helpful and friendly .

Our itinerary only allowed us one night at this beautiful hotel and this place deserves more to just relax and enjoy the remote location. Who would not want a lake outside your room!! It was a cloudy night but opened up for a few hours and it was amazing watching the dazzling night sky from the room.Although not visible to the eye but the phone camera was able to capture traces of the illusive Northern Lights. Incredible location and a must stay!!

Outstanding hotel, large rooms, beautiful location and great restaurants. And an espresso machine in your room for great coffee. This hotel has it all and is in a good location for visiting the south and east coast of Iceland. Staffing in the restaurant seemed a bit light, especially at breakfast.

Lovely and serene cabins with peaceful views of the lake. Double glazed and thick walled; nice and warm with no sounds despite the 100kmh gusts outside! Comfy bed, Netflix on tap, and enjoyable bathroom amenities. We also had dinner there and could not fault the food, wonderful. Only issue would be getting luggage down to some of the cabins as you have to park your car up the ramp and not close to the cabins.

This hotel was a fantastic spot, well out of the way so no lights and a great chance to see the northern lights. Nice to have your own little cabin and we had a good view of the lake. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone! The food was also excellent here!
