This is a lovely, off the beaten path little inn. We were booked here by our travel company, and we were VERY happy with the accomodations. Our room was in the main lodge, but felt very private. It looked out onto a grassy area. It was more spacious than the average European room, and was very comfortable. It was disappointing that they did not serve dinner when we were there, but the breakfast that was included was terrific. Lots of choices! We really enjoyed it. We did spend a bit of time in one of the hot tubs, meeting some lovely travelers from Germany. Everyone was very good about trying to maintain some social distance. The staff were very nice. My only reget is that we only had one night here.

It is not luxurious but staff are wonderful and I loved the location. Great place for a walk and luckily for us an extraordinary northern lights night! Very clean, great breakfast, and a tiny bar available at the reception desk. Very happy here

My girlfriend and I didn’t have many expectations coming here as we were schedule to arrive in the evening and depart in the morning, but we fell in love with this place. The owners were so kind and pleasant and the room was exactly what we needed with the added bonus of an incredible floor to ceiling view of the meadow. With no one in sight, it truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. If you have time, take a soak in Vok and be warned that this pit stop might be your favorite in all of Iceland.

A great secluded hotel accommodation just slightly off Route 94, a few minutes drive from Egilsstaðir and very close to the start of Route 93 towards Seyðisfjörður. Staff were very friendly, and the common facilities [WC | Breakfast Buffet | Hot Tubs] were clean and readily accessible. Additional towels and bath robes available on request. Very attractive lounge with a balcony available at all times near the reception desk. The cabins were very cozy and compact, with sink + stove | dining table | bed | couch all in one area, then narrow bathroom off to the side. The hotel is in a prime location for Northern Lights viewing as well. I would recommend walking past the reception area and parking to the small gravel road leading down to the secluded house, and setting up there

Nicest older couple running the place. In fact it looked like they are working really hard - easy to forget about that perspective when being awed by a beautiful country. I sure hope being here is helpful not a hardship. They were wonderful and responded immediately about a bed mix up, which was completely our fault, and she kept apologizing! Really sweet. Comfy, good sized room with a relaxing feel. There is a nice deck and hot tub but we were beat and stayed in the room. I definitely recommend.

we stayed one night on our roundtrip with friends. The room is basic, but very clean and with decent space. Beds were very good. The hotel is surrounded by forest (which is a rare setting in Iceland) and a short drive from Egilsstadir. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner because of covid, so we couldn't try this. Next morning our friends did went for a trip with our rental car and we tried to get a taxi to go to the Vök bath. But there was a problem with that, so the owner did drive us, after breafast serving was over. Great service. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It was a clean place. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. Our room was an independent room [not in the main building] with adjacent parking. However, the room was small. Two beds were put together and we cannot open the bathroom door fully. Bathroom is small and a heavy person would find it difficult to have bath there.
