Its like a tiny doll house kind of fairy tale type and cozy . We stayed there for a night and has option for cooking. We cooked food and water was good unlike most of the Iceland that has sulfur content. Very friendly staff. We arrived late after dinner hours the front desk guy offered the dinner lentil soup option (international night). Even though we purchased for two as we had left over pizza we got plenty of soup. For the cold night the hot soup was great. I appreciate the hospitality We visited in 2019 August and the road to reach the Hostel Highway 1 ring road was closed. We had to take detour, in the rain and heavy wind it was an adventure to cross the mud road drive that took us lot more time than expected to reach. We were late but the staff stayed till we reach there.
Nice camping without tourist ;) The end of the world. Nice host, very welcoming. Kitchen and bathroom clean, hot water ect... Thanks Ps: 1800 isk each is maybe too expensive as its not à tourist area..
Nice and clean hostel, however basic and simple. The farm is located on the way to the West. There's a place to rest and watch the fjord. Or you can walk to the waterfall! It's just a few steps behind the farm. Don't be afraid to use the stepladder if it's there ;) There's a simple kitchenette in the building and also a huge kitchen in the other, so you can prepare your own meal. The rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean.
Four of us stayed in cabin F - 2 singles and a bunk bed - and it was wonderful. Clean. New. Comfortable. And a spectacular view! There’s really nothing in the area so either bring food with you to eat/cook or enjoy their dining room. The soup was excellent and prices are similar to the rest of Iceland.
The elderly gentleman (I think he is the owner) who welcomed was extremely friendly and warm. We stayed in D building which had 6 or 7 rooms. The living area is comfortable and cozy. Our room was small and adjustable. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen however was small. Only 2 people can stand at once to cook. No kettle. But gas burner was a good advantage. The amenities is low in supply. For example only 2 pots to cook and 2 bowls. Only 1 dinning table with 4 chair that too the chairs are pushed to the kitchen area so you really cants sit if someone is cooking. 2 Bathroom with shower for 6 rooms. In the morning i left without using bathroom because all the rooms were booked and the bathroom was very busy. The walls are extremely thin and don't expect a goodnight sleep. Few guest can be very ungrateful to others , kept making noise till 1:30 AM. When we arrived at 6:30 PM the restaurant was closed and only Bar was open (it was not even a Sunday) that was extremely disappointing. We could spot northern lights and that was a plus point :) There is a church inside the property and few hikes if one has time. Though the view from the guesthouse is beautiful we were not completely satisfied with this stay.…
