Awesome place! We were in for 5 days and we had a very nice to stay few days for relax and chill, really cosy cottage ! You can go for a walk around the cottage to discover the Iceland before take the road to the south
We chose this location fairly randomly as we needed to stay somewhere for our visitor quarantine requirement. The accommodation and the location turned out to be great. The little wooden cottage was very pleasant and clean. It was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were really comfy. Could have done with an oven to make bread in as we weren't allowed to go to a shop or to eat out. But we managed just fine. During quarantine you were allowed to go for walks. The area is fabulous. We spent our days exploring the area on foot and climbing the great (and at times challenging) mountains that surrounded the cottage. The area is beautiful, the autumn colours of the tundra in September are magnificent. Quarantining in Iceland is no problem as there are expansive areas to walk in where there is nobody.…
Nice cottages in the Icelandic nature, very cute and perfect to stop there on your way around the country. Beautiful nature all around and great to take walks there, beautiful waterfall close by. The cottages are cute and cosy, they are very basic in general but with a bbq, so we could make a nice dinner. The cottages are equipped with everything we needed. We had a great stay.
Camping cottages in a rural setting. They are ok for a night in summer, but uninsulated, so not suitable for a winter stay. Beds are comfortable and the cottage were clean. The panel heater in the living area were missing, not a big deal on a balmy summer evening, but not good on a cold and windy day, even in summer. Sofa had stains, saucepan missing, the gas bbq saved our day, although we had to change our menu and return to the village for more shopping. Cottage had signs of severe leaks in every corner, lopsided, the bathroom door would not close. These cottages have seen better days and are expensive for what you get. I would look elsewhere if possible.
Tinni took us for a hike to the waterfall and I think this was the highlight for my husband of our whole trip. The place was cute, we chose a movie from the log in cabin to watch for the night, which I thought was a nice little touch to allow us something to do on a cold night. We made a french press of coffee in the morning and loved the views from our cottage. Would love to watch the northern lights here.
