We chose it by chance and feel very lucky about our choice. The view was wonderful, almost on the lake, the rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a large balcony. The distance to town was ideal, walking distance. The breakfast was very good and rich and Dimitra who took care of it was excellent. But what we want to emphasize is the impeccable behavior of the children at the reception. Both Alexandra and Babis were the ones who made our stay so pleasant with their smile and kindness. They offered us valuable information about our excursions, but what won us over was the warmth in their demeanor.
It goes without saying that if we go to Kastoria again it will be our first choice.
Thank you very much for making our vacation so wonderful.
Alexandra and Florence.

Excellent hotel, very nice room, spotlessly clean, fantastic view of the lake. Opposite there is a park with geese!!! The breakfast needs improvement but you overlook it because everything else was perfect. When I go to Kastoria again, I will stay there!!!

Stayed last August(2011). Nice and very clean. The room had average size. The stuff was very friendly. We enjoyed the view to the lake both from our room and the cafe on the ground floor.

As we have seen the room we booked through their web page (no. 7, it's their home page photo) we were prepared as to what to expect. However, reality was even better! It's incredible to just lay in bed in the morning, operate the shutters via remote control and wake up to a breathtaking view of the lake and the city. Room was beautifully decorated and had all usual amenties (TV, heat, refrigerator), the bed was large and comfortable enough, the bath was functional and the balcony is even larger than what their website photos show - should be ideal in spring/summer to have a coffee there while enjoying the view. Breakfast was sufficient, and the staff and people running the business were very friendly and helpful on all requests, offering great tips for the city and trips to the surrounding areas (like the amazing Prespes Lakes or Nymfaio with the bear environmental center "Arctouros"). The location is also ideal, about 5 minutes of beautiful walk around the lake to the center of Kastoria (you can also drive there, but not really worth looking for parking for such a distance when strolls are much more enjoyable), and it's remote enough to provide relaxation but much closer to the city than many bigger/better known hotel complexes. Clean, tidy, with a warm atmosphere, strategic location and one of the best views of the city, it's highly recommended. Just make sure to ask for a room with a lake view, as not all rooms offer this. They have 8 rooms and 2 suites available, but prefer room 7 (or alternatively 6) on the third floor for maximum enjoyment!

Very nice, clean and tidy hotel. The lift is a plus. The stuff is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast will just do you good to recover energy and start the day. The location is just great to begin by the lake walk.

Enjoyed looking at the activities on the lake, both human and non-human, and the changing views of Kastoria town opposite, from the superb balcony. Excellent starting point for local and more distant touring. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Full marks!
Room nicely decorated, with good furnishings, and cleaned daily. Breakfast - in the interesting level above the reception and bar - was excellent and a good variety of cold meats, breads, juice, cereals etc.
Only downside is the traffic noise as the hotel is adjacent to a dual carriageway road - and the locals like to go fast! It quietens down at night, though, and the large balcony windows are efficiently double-glazed, and come complete with electric shutters to reduce the sun's heat.

As the title says, the hotel is in THE best location. Easily accessible, within walking distance of the city center. The view.... We were lucky to book the "Red Room". I have no words about the view, just check out the photos. This is what you can see lying in your bed!
The staff polite yet professional and as to the price... Τhe XX€ per night for what this hotels offers makes me believe that we took advantage of them! That's why I'm trully ashamed to quote the exact price. :-)

We visited Paralimnion in April 2011.
The hotel is ideally located by the lake of Kastoria.
The room was exactly as seen in the website of the hotel beautifully decorated and clean. The view was magnificent from the balcony. We had requested a lake view room. The room was very reasonably priced (65 euro/per night incl. breakfast).
The staff was very polite and it even suggested us things to do in and around the city.
The only negatives we found was breakfast which was rather poor and the fact that there is no distinct lobby at the hotel. On the ground floor there is a cafe which is the lobby.
Apart from that, this is a hotel I would definitely recommend. I think it is ideal for couples.

On our road trip in north Greece, it was a little risky not booking ahead during peak season, but we were lucky to be offered a suite for our one night stay upon calling last minute.
The location is brilliant and in front of the lake, near Lidl supermarket and also next door to one of the top tavernas (Allotino). It is on the main Street however it's not as noisy as you think.
We stayed in room 410, the accomation was nothing short of 5 stars, especially considering the price we paid during peak season. The whole suite was lovely, clean and the balcony had stunning views of both the mountains/town and lake. There were also two complimentary mini bottles of red & white wine. The bathroom was clean, modern & the bathtub had a jetted whirlpool jacuzzi and lovely toiletries. The shower head didn't have very high pressure but it wasn't an issue.
The suite was fully equipped with large TV, DVD player and free wifi.
The breakfast buffet was good but lacking in hot food offerings. There were plenty of breads, homemade pies, boiled eggs, cereals, croissants...
All in all, a fantastic stay in a great location, would definitely return!

The accomodation is nothing short of 5 star excellence. Close to the centre of town and the most wonderful views of the town. We stayed in room 410 with views of the lake and town. We initially booked a suite with views of the mountain but upon arrival we opted to pay the extra for the lake views which are second to none. A very big thank you to our host Vasilis for looking after us.....
