The room was large and comfortable and had nice views of the surrounding areas. Outside of town so limited to nearby fields and outdoor pool for amusement. The bar area was nicely decorated and had great fireplaces to sit by with your drink. Air conditioning was not too good but did function. Staff were very polite and helpful. No safe... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Amalia Hotel in Kalambaka. It is within close proximity to the town itself and only a short drive away. Although the rooms are a little old fashioned, it has clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a modern bathroom and décor. The hotel comprises great views of the surrounding area and the distant towering rock formations... More

The hotel is close to the monasteries in Meteora and had a nice atmosphere...nice gardens. However, the facilities were a bit dated. Some parts of the hotel, the public spaces were not air conditioned. It was not in town so if you wanted to take a walk, you were limited to the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were good...

We stayed here as part of our tour. Unfortunately we were there for only one night so there was not enough time to explore the gardens. I think some of the rooms gave views of the mountain. The entire vibe of this place was surreal . Make sure you go to the pool after dinner to have drinks

This hotel was supposedly "THE" hotel near Meteora, but I found it dated and uncomfortable. The WiFi was awful, which was an issue for my kids, and the rooms were small and dated. The beds were not very comfortable. Low, and hard with the sheets not even fitting (very much like the other Hotel Amalia we stayed in, but the... More

We have been in this hotel before but it was about 12 years ago. When we arrived it seemed like we were the only ones in the, hotel-- how deceiving were we!! This hotel caters for many bus loads of tourists coming to see the beautiful Monastery's. They leave early in the morning so if you come down to breakfast... More

We traveled with a tour group that selected excellent hotels. This facility was the worst of our hotels but it was not terrible and some grace should be given. Our room was quite nice with a patio door and a hallway with rooms only on one side. This made for a quiet room. Our included dinner and breakfast buffets were... More

Reasonably priced room for hotels near Meteora. Rooms and grounds could use some updates but all in all, premises were clean and staff were friendly. Had buffet dinner for 15 euros per person which was pretty good, considering the vast selection of food which included salads, entrees, desserts, and drinks. Buffet breakfast the next day was just as good and... More

The room appears worn. The carpet is old and there are large burn marks. The AC doesn't work--turned down as low as it will go, and even my cold-natured hubby is complaining about the heat. We have spent our evening battling flies, mosquitoes, and bees....in the room. The shower is very small, and you will have to contend with the... More

With its beautiful mountain décor characterized by lots of wood in the public areas, a pretty pool, and a big, clean room, the Amalia Kalambaka is a solid offering The Amalia provides decent sleep on a somewhat stiff mattress (the kind I like) and a large bath with good water pressure. Like many of the hotels in Greece in my... More
