I rate Monastiri Guesthouse 5/5 because we received incredible, friendly service, a super clean and spacious room with warm comfy bed, the best breakfast in Greece and we simply didn't want to leave. Dita and Spiros are wonderful hosts that speak fluent English and Dita always met us every day with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in this lovely, quaint town. It is only 5 minute walk to town and 2 minutes to train station. Perfectly safe neighborhood so you can walk around at night without worry. Everyone in the town is super friendly and to make it even more special, you can see the incredible Meteora from your room. From our balcony we could have tea and watch the sunset over the mountains. There are also plenty of little walking tracks, from 30 minutes to half - day, or just a walk into town to pop into the local coffee shops and bakeries. The breakfast was so delightful with hand pressed orange juice, espresso maker, freshly brewed coffee, tea, all types of meats, cheeses, freshly baked savoury and sweet Greek pies, many different types of breads, omelette, boiled eggs, fruits, nuts, salads, yogurt, cereal, home made preserves, cakes, biscuits and the best local honey I've ever tasted. Dita also spoiled me with gluten free options for my breakfast which was so helpful because it was delicious. The bathroom is also very sleek and not a speck of mould (personally something I look for), the shower water is hot and all the rooms have adjustable heating which makes the room feel even more cozy. If you are considering staying at Kalambaka this is the perfect guesthouse and you will leave feeling like part of the family, please consider supporting this lovely family business instead of the big hotels. You will love it!

We stayed here in October based purely on reviews and cannot speak highly enough of this B&B. Friendly, spotlessly clean, great service and breakfasts. We came here with high expectations to this fascinating area and with high expectations of Monastiri - did not disappoint!!! Dita the most wonderful hostess, we have many memories of your wonderful place and town.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. All the ladies on the staff were lovely including the owner, Dita, receptionist, Foteini (my spelling attempt), the breakfast ladies and the chambermaids. There are now 20 rooms, not 6 as mentioned in the Trip Ad summary at time of writing this. The room was fine, simple and not too small, with all things working properly including air conditioning that was not too noisy. It was good to sit on the balcony and see the sun setting on the Meteora rock formations. Breakfast was really good with a wide variety of cereals, drinks, bread, pastries, greek pies, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and much more. It's on the other side of the railway tracks to the heart of the town, but I enjoyed the short walk in and out. If returning to Kalabaka I would choose to stay there again.

Clean, bright & friendly. Large room, with views of the Meteora. Tea & coffee facilities in room. Lovely swimming pool area. Location is great. Easy walk into town....better position, I think, than being right in the Centre of town as very quiet. Breakfast was good, with freshly prepared scrambled eggs & homemade pies & cakes. Nice outside breakfast seating area. Everyone there was friendly & helpful.
