What a gorgeous hotel, tucked away high up in the hills above Gythio with beautiful views across the olive groves. Lovely big bedroom, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. The pool area is very chic (as is the rest of the hotel) and the owners are charming. We had a delicious lunch by the pool one day and drove down to Gythio and Glyfada beach for a couple of dinners.

From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we were somewhere special. The welcome was warm, generous and genuine. This is a beautifully designed family-run boutique hotel which really makes you feel at home. The rooms are stunningly beautiful with wonderful views.

This very special hotel is just a few miles outside Gythio which - although not the most beautiful of Greek ports - certainly boasts a varied collections of bars and tavernas. However, the food in the hotel is so good and the evening atmosphere so special that we were loathe to go elsewhere.

A big thank you to our wonderful hosts. We can only wish you the very best for the future in these very strange and difficult times.

This is a place of recovery, healing, calm and space. Pierre and Antigone will go to every length to make your stay perfect. Our room was peaceful and comfortable, the hotel is exquisite in its decor, taste and ambiance; the menus for breakfast and dinner were imaginative and varied. All food was prepared with a Michelin Starred level of attention and served on the sensitively illuminated and sumptuous terraces of this ancient tower house of the Mani.

The Alistos is an hotel that punches way above its weight and offers something very special. It’s very quiet so don’t come here if you want the buzz and razzmatazz of a coastal nightlife. Three or four nights would be the perfect stay.

6 people travelling, including 2 young children: Very friendly & professional hotel owners who arranged for us the logistics & transfer from Athens airport (large, clean and luxurious bus shuttle with friendly driver). The hill view from the hotel is simply amazing, with a very relaxing area around the pool. Rooms are well designed and very functional (we had a Suite). For the sport lovers we are - there are great & cardio intensive running tracks possible from the hotel (around 8 kms circuit, keep some energy for the way back !). We truly felt home throughout our stay - a big thank you to Antigoni & Pierre for the great moments. We will be back ! Alex & Family.

A brilliant place run by a brilliant young couple - we came back for that reason alone, as if we were visiting old friends and catching up. We had a lovely room, with a brilliant walk-in shower, a lovely balcony overlooking the olive groves and hills, comfy bed and all mod cons.

The pool area is fantastic for lounging under the shade of the olive trees and the hosts will bring you cold water (and a chilled glass of wine in my case). Breakfasts are truly amazing, with a different egg dish every day, everything presented 'just so', freshly squeezed orange juice, good coffee, whipped yoghurt, fresh fruit and sweet and savoury pastries. It's a perfect place to explore the area or just to stay put and enjoy some down time.

We have just spent 3 incredible nights at this truly wonderful hotel. Pierre and Antigone are such amazing hosts, so hospitable and always keen to make sure we were having a superb time. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, also has the most fascinating family history. The setting in the hills is spectacular, it's so picturesque and tranquil, the perfect place to chill and unwind, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

It was my second time in hotel Alistos and this year (early August) I had the possibility to realise that the excellent hotel I stayed back in 2017 had become an even better, an idea I could say place to spend relaxing holidays. Superb quality, a keen eye for details and really friendly people ready to accommodate all your needs. Highly recommended.
