When I wake up in the morning, I can smell a nice lavender while opening windows. Owner has lavender field near this cabin. This is a basic cabin, but had it all. The only downside was internet not working at the time I stayed. And no cellphone signal coverage at all. Long time waiting moments for staying in the middle...

I have to say this was one of my favorite stays while in Provence. Monique runs this entire guest house by herself and does an amazing job. The food is excellent! The rooms spacious and beds comfy. The house itself is massive and is well appointed. We found it a great convience to walk into town and to have as...

I would love to have been able to stay more than a couple of nights but my onward travel was pre-arranged (via InnTravel). I hope to return some day. I loved my big blue-walled room with its exquisitely selected taupe furniture and furnishings, and a long window looking out onto the garden through horse-chestnut trees. As others have said, the...

We had a very large room and bathroom, simply furnished but very in keeping with the age and style of the building, which is set in large gardens with plenty of places to wander or sit. We found Monique welcoming and friendly. I cannot understand the reviews that complain about her not speaking English - horror- a frenchwoman in a...

We may have got lucky when we stayed here for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday - we got a big, comfortable family-type room for just the two of us. The proprietor was friendly and helpful although she always seemed busy (like there is always something going on). Her food was excellent - especially the rhubarb and strawberry...

Beautiful large house. Monique was friendly but spoke no English. Not a problem in itself but as we do not speak much French we did feel a bit lost. For example we did not know what the format for dinner was, what time and even where to go. No choice for meal but it was very good. Drink seemed to...

We stayed here for two nights as part of a walking holiday. I find it interesting when people have such different experiences of a place. In his book, Alistair Sawday says of this place "it feels good to be here even if you can't define the source of the positive energy ...." and describes the owner as "gentle, delicate and...

We stayed three nights at Auberge de Reillanne last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This is a beautiful and very comfortable auberge in a wonderful setting, made extra special by the owner Monique Balmand's very personal touches, some reflecting her links to Nepal that others have commented upon. After a long day's walking we enjoyed the peaceful garden and...

We have just returned from staying at Auberge de Reilanne as part of an Inn Travel walking trip in Provence. It was outstanding for the beauty and tranquillity of the house, which is so much part of the landscape and reached down a tree lined drive. We loved our stay in this intriguing house. Our room was enormous and so...

An old auberge on the outskirts of the village of Reillane, run by a charming and fascinating woman who spends part of each year in Nepal. We spent two nights there, the first a little disappointing in a fairly basic small room, the second in a larger room which was much more elegant and charming (overlooking a pumpkin field). Both...
