Upon picking up our packet on arrival, we found that our room key was incorrect. We appreciated the off street parking, but found it to be very confusing in location to our room. The Lord Alfred Tennyson Suite was very charming and very clean, although a bit busy. I had to out put items in drawers in order to make room for out belongings. The welcome cookies were a nice addition. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast was tasty and welcome each morning.
I would like to share that I felt feel the room to be difficult for those that are mobility challenged. There are numerous steps to the front door (the back door is accessible by a dirt path with stones), the bed is very high (time period bed step was available), the bathtub/whirlpool was difficult to climb in and out of, and toilet is low and the bathroom has no grab bars.
As much as we enjoyed our stay, I, as a senior, cannot state that I would return. This would be much better suited to a younger aged group.

Our Collette Suite in the purple house was just like a fairytale. It was cozy but had all the amenities one could ask for, from a jetted tub down to fresh homemade cookies on arrival. The location is near everything in town, and while there was a slight snafu about when breakfast would arrive, we highly recommend these cute and comfy cottages.

This cottage is by far one of the best places that I've ever stayed in. I stayed in the Tennyson suite on a solo trip to eureka springs for my birthday and everything about it was just perfect. From the covered front porch overlooking the garden and main street to the incredible outdoor shower up against the cliff. So many whimsical things and so much attention to detail. Breakfast was perfect both days. I think I actually enjoyed my time in the cottage even more than I did exploring the town. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the linens and pillows incredibly nice. The towels smelt really good as well. Along with the outdoor shower, I tried the jacuzzi and the indoor shower, which were both fantastic. I loved the echo for listening to music everyday and the fireplace made me so happy. The decorations are also super charming, like the suit of armor and the dragonfly lamp. The location was absolutely perfect and I loved the free parking and I didn't have any issues finding the place due to the very detailed email directions I received from the innkeepers. I also did a Google Street view before I arrived so I knew exactly where everything was located. There are three staircases that you can get down to different parts of the main street and it is easy walking distance to most everything. I just parked my car and walked everywhere the two days I was here. The cookies were an added bonus along with the water. Would highly recommend. I would also like to come back sometime and try the Zelda suite. I would recommend trying the Mexican restaurant that's directly across the street, I found it very tasty. There is also a nice essential oil shop across the street.

Overall, the inn is very charming and beautiful! I stayed in the Sarah Bernhardt Suite, which was delightful - and the jacuzzi tub is huge! Downtown is a just a minute’s walk away.
The only issue I had was when it came to dietary restrictions - if you’re gluten free like me, be cautious! Breakfast is included in the service, and the menu is set - but they say they’re able to accommodate gluten free and vegetarian diets. I included a note when I made my reservation about being gluten free and called the front office shortly after checking in to request the gluten free substitutes, but I still received the regular gluten options every day.
The first and third mornings I was there, this was less of a concern because the main “dish” was naturally gluten free (casserole and quiche) - but the biggest issue was the second day when I received the regular French toast breakfast. I decided to trust that it was gluten free but received a rather blasé text about 30 minutes later that they’d actually dropped off a regular (gluten) breakfast - perfect timing for me to have already started feeling the effects of that.
Obviously, accidentally eating gluten put a damper on the rest of the plans I had for what was intended to be a relaxing getaway. I can’t imagine what this situation might have been like for someone with a more severe intolerance or with Celiac. And they still included a regular gluten muffin on my plate the next morning! Of course, I did have to text first to ask if that breakfast was gluten free for me to receive another lackluster response informing me of this.
TL;DR: beautiful inn, great food - just don’t have any special requests.

You cannot beat the location of this property. It is literally steps away from where you want to be.
Having breakfast delivered to your room in the morning is a nice touch.
The room itself left much to be desired. Had an overpowering smell of Fabulosa And bedsheets were ripped and torn, and the pillowcases have holes in them.

These are Victorian cottages are conveniently located on a street that runs parallel to Main St., resulting in a quiet stay. There is a convenient stairway between the cottages and the Main St. for best walking access to restaurants and shops. We walked to everything we went to except the Tiger Sanctuary and Quigley House. We stayed in the Alfred room three nights and REALLY enjoyed the private outside shower and enhanced shower in the unit. We also stayed one night in the Emily Dickinson suite. This is a very spacious suite with separate rooms. The living area was decorated as though you were sitting in a luscious garden patio. Both rooms very very tastefully decorated in a theme and had private outdoor eating areas on porch and in back. They had a beautiful wall fireplace with a heater, a refrigerator, and the most comfortable robes and bedding you could imagine! Breakfast was very elaborate and plentiful, menu provided in advance, served very beautifully and timely. It was very tasty and there was something for you regardless of your diet. They made it obvious they want your stay to be special. This is a great place for a getaway. You may not even want to leave the Cottage because it is so relaxing. They have thought of everything! What are you waiting for?

We stayed in the Robert Louis Stevenson room which was beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and had a fabulous front porch to enjoy! This was conveniently located right downtown close to everything especially the trolley in which we had fun riding all over Eureka Springs. Our three breakfasts were delicious and nicely presented on time with a smiling server each of our mornings. I absolutely recommend this inn with several different choices of rooms and prices which are all very reasonable . The entire staff was friendly and answered questions about the area or anything we needed help with. Our anniversary was really special because of the Cliff Cottages Inn. Camille McElmurry

We very much enjoyed our stay. The suite was clean and nice, and the breakfasts were all tasty. Downtown Eureka Springs is really best seen by walking, and the Cliff Cottage rooms are only a short walk from the lower end of the shops on Main Street. We had a great time walking to the shops and restaurants one day.

We live in NWA and wanted to head over to Eureka for a weekend away. We stayed at the CCI and it was a great experience. Room was very clean and we really enjoyed the themed decor. You can’t beat the location just steps away from all the restaurants & entertainment. We love to walk so this location was perfect. The room was very quiet and you couldn’t hear much outside noise while in the room. The breakfast each morning was pretty good and a nice touch. We’ll definitely be coming back. This place is what Eureka Springs is all about!

The rooms were beyond musty (or smelly in a weird way), which was very disappointing and made it unpleasant to be in. The food was subpar especially as compared to the expectations they set. They did not bring you coffee for breakfast, you had to make your own out of very stale grounds. Location great and room beautiful despite the smell.

There are solid walls enclosing the Robert Louis Stevenson toilet. These walls were added in 2019. The door to the toilet is a wood screen, which added an artistic element.
Justin
There are walls with a door. When we purchased the Inn, there was only 3 walls and a wood screen. We corrected this quickly.
Our carpenter planked cedar wood from his farm and built a beautiful enclosure to complete the bathroom. Being the artist that he is, he was able to keep the wood screen, by converting one of the panels into a hinged and latching bathroom door.

Cliff Cottage Inn is an historic inn built in the 1880s and is filled with priceless antique furnishings many of which have come down from the innkeeper's great grandmother and other pieces collected from all around the world. There are many family antique collectibles also, decorating the suites and cottages. There are 2 reasons we no longer take children: first, we did in the beginning but so many of these irreplaceable treasures were broken, tables scratched, silk brocade loveseats stained etc. (the parents all said it was a child's accident.) It would be impossibe for staff to remove all these things to be able to accommodate children. Second, when we did accept them, many times the guests in the adjoining suites would check out early and rightfully demand and receive a refund because they had to listen all night to a crying child or other such noise coming from a child -- we can't have our other guests' holidays spoiled because of an unruly child. There are other lodging establishments that would best suit a family with children...ours is an adults-only inn and has been so for the past 23 years.
