We stayed here for a St. Patrick's weekend and enjoyed our experience. The rooms are simple, but updated. We appreciated having a small fridge and coffee maker in the space. The rear door opens up to a pretty treeline that was nice to take in as you enjoyed a cup of coffee and the morning breeze. The bar inside the main lobby area was packed with locals and tourist listening to a 3-piece band. We entertained ourselves by people watching and listening to the band while enjoying some drinks, before heading downtown to explore. It was too cold for the pool to be open. We are staying here again for the same celebration this year and excited to return to this unique and fun property.

I have dreamed about staying at this hotel since I was a little girl. I have been going to Eureka since I was very young. I would admire the Joy Hotel but we would never get to stay there because it was booked solid or as I got older it was shut down. We stayed here for a quick weekend get away with our dogs. The room was awesome, the staff was amazing and it met all of our expectations. We didn't get to try the restaurant or bar on site this trip but we plan to in the future. The only issue we did have was parking, it is a bit of a beast when it comes to parking. We will more then likely stay here every time we come to Eureka now, which is often!

Myself, my husband, and my mom needed a last minute room and they had availability, room 307. We didn’t arrive until about 10:30pm so it was already dark. Outside the motel looks very cute and adventurous. The inside appeared to have been updated somewhat in that there was “new” carpet down and the bathroom floors looks like they had new tile. However, there was wallpaper peeling off several different spots, a piece of wall trim was busted and hanging off the corner of the wall, several electrical outlets didn’t work, and the beds felt like sleeping on plywood. We will not stay here again.

The atmosphere was wonderful! The rooms were renovated and were extremely comfortable. The bar and restaurant on site had delicious food and drinks. They even had a live band that was fabulous! What a great way to finish the decade. Highly recommend.

I’m so happy I chose this place to stay at. We got in around 9pm after driving from dallas. The check in process was super quick and skylar took care of us. After we settled in our room, we came back up to the gravel bar for a drink. Kendra was our bar tender. She made us feel so welcomed and was genuine with the conversation we had. I really am excited to come back here, hopefully in the next few months.
