Stayed 3 nights for our first visit to the region. This is rated 2 star but actually could easily jump another star by fixing a couple of minor gripes. Our room - actually a mini suite as it had a little sitting area with its own baby TV - had recently been nicely refurbished in ski resort style wood with...

Returned here for an overnight stay on this occasion. I am happy to report that the hotel still offers comfortable accommodation, which is very good value and has the benefit of an excellent restaurant. Some improvements have been made to the internal decor. But the prize must surely go to the restaurant. Tremendous value and served by helpful staff, who...

Been there just for one night. We were passing by Remiremont and didn't want to stay in a city hotel. The location is great, almost in the mountains, no city noise and lots of fresh air. the hotel itself is clean clean and nice. Rooms are not big but comfortable. We took a standard room and this has a small...

An auberge amid the rolling, forested countryside of the Vosges mountains--just an hour or so off the Alsace route des vins. Gentle hiking in the area. Forest is managed, meaning a little monotonous with little undergrowth, but trees are mature and there are some nice views. Service mostly cordial, room very comfortable. Wifi only in the restaurant/reception area. Definitely go...

We stayed at La Vigotte for four nights whilst cycling in the region. The hotel is nestled in the beautiful Vosges mountains and is utterly peaceful and tranquil. It is easy to find with good signage from the main roads. The hotel is very popular during certain periods so, with such a lack of good accommodations in a 20 mile...

I stayed here early September for three nights. Whilst the hotel is remote, it is a very pleasent site, overlooking some small lakes and forests. At over 2000 feet in altitude, it must be expected that the clouds can descend and spoil the view. Along with the hotel, there are chalets and an equestrian center. The various rooms are available...

“When using your "sat-nav" be aware that it might bring you up some roads which are best avoided. The best solution is to travel to Remiremont, there follow signs for the Val d'Ajol(D23), passing the Gendarmarie barracks on your right, a steady uphill climb of about 3 miles(4.5kms) will bring you to a tee junction, here turn left and join the D57. The hotel is clearly signposted here. Follow this road, climbing through forest, till you come to some open pasture, at the junction, the hotel is clearly signposted to your right. Follow this narrow track, passing chalets on your left, till you come to a small sign on your left, at this stage you will be able to see the hotel.”
