We stayed in Amboise only a couple of nights, but it was such a peaceful stay after the hustle and bustle of Paris. Our host, Pedro was filling in for the Veronique. From the moment he welcomed us to the moment we left for the train station at the end of our visit his personal attention was was top notch.... More

We stayed at Chateau de Nazelles in April of 2016. The Cottage, also referred to as Pavillon Lucas on their site, was perfect for our family of 4 with the kids upstairs and adults down. The kitchen is well-equipped, and everything in the suite was new, clean and in perfect working order. Part of the sitting room is 'cave' dug... More

Wow. What a first impression! A little hard to find and up a narrow hill where you wonder where you are going but it is worth it. Turn in and you find yourself in a little bit of French heaven. A beautifully restored small chateau with a wonderful selection of other buildings linked by secret gardens. Our room was one... More

What a delight. This gracious old chateau has been beautifully restored. It is a tight drive up the narrow street, but once you enter the grounds you are transported to a delightful, peaceful and quite beautiful place. Immaculate grounds, a freshwater pool, and lots of charming little spaces to investigate. Our room was huge, ground floor and quite medieval -... More

We enjoyed our stay at Chateau de Nazelles. The bed was comfortable, but the room was musty. That is probably what you should expect if you stay in a 500 year old chateau. Veronique was a very gracious and accommodating host. Her passion and attention to detail exudes from the picture perfect gardens and blended period furnishings. She served a delectable... More

If you are lucky enough to be able secure a room and/or one of their cabins, I am so very happy for you. Our family of 8 were guests at Chateau de Nazelles last May during the worst and rare rainy season in the region. Paris flooded, and Loire Valley had more than enough rain which caused some flooding. Chateau... More

We have rented a room in Chateau de Nazelle, a castle in the city of Nazelle. An intimate castle with many very private areas, like a a beautiful swimming pool which gives you a roman feeling, an outdoor kitchen (The orangerie) were you can eat ouside using the bbq. The view is magnificent. The room is very nice, good beds... More

We have just returned from our visit to the Loire and stayed in this fabulous chateau. The owners were very friendly and helpful and were very keen to offer advice on local restaurants and vineyards. The breakfast each morning was varied and everything was locally sourced and as natural as possible. The room we stayed in was cut into the... More

We spent two wonderful nights in Mathilda, one of the troglodyte rooms carved into the limestone walls that rise above the chateau. Veronique and her family run a great B&B, and made great recommendations for dinner and sites to visit. Amboise is a short drive away, and the major chateaus are easily reachable. Highly recommended for your visit to the... More

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. A perfect base to explore the Loire valley chateau's. This was our favorite stay on our 2 1/2 week France tour. We loved every aspect of this incredible 16th century chateau. The grounds were amazing, our room was very large with a gorgeous view of the Loire valley and Amboise. The morning... More
