Extremely quiet place, I enjoyed the swimming pool and the food at the nearby restaurant. The place has an ancient glory, a bit spoiled by tasteless recent interiors. The owner and chef of the nearby restaurant is extremely friendly. My bed was a bit too soft, but ok. The nearby road is not very disturbing: you can hear a car...

We chose the hotel for its location not far from the Taize community. Although we had reservations, when we arrived at the hotel, it appeared to be closed - no sign of life and no cars in the lot behind the hotel. Then, we read the note on the door that said to check in at the auberge across the...

Came across this hotel as Buxy was quite quiet. The place was empty which was odd. The main course was surprisingly tasteless - it was coq au vin and looked nice (see photos) but had no flavour at all ! The starter of ham was good but the salad was not great. Lemon meringue pie was OK. All in all,...

This was our second visit and the only disappointment was the July weather so the much anticipated dip in the pool was off. This is a lovely friendly Auberge / hotel. The rooms are in the beautiful old Villa and the restaurant in the Auberge across the road. Slightly odd to walk across the road with your drinks but worth...

This hotel is an old French villa with garden and swimming pool. Great simple restaurant across the street. The owner and cook is very nice and friendly. Dinner and breakfast great. The interior renovation is an offence to the history of the building, though. But for this price is ok. Breakfast is a bit expensive. The nearby road justifies the...

We had a very nice culinair expierence ten years ago in this michelinrecommended restaurant. So, now after 10 years we expected the same, and choose the most expensive menu (44,00) The taste was very ordinary, nothing special at all, the service didn't made it better. What a pity.., maybe the owners looked too much after the taste of their international...

We stayed here two nights and were treated very well. Rooms are quiet in a separate building across the road from the restaurant. There is a very adequate swimming pool in the garden. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful (not to mention hard-working). Dinner was served in lovely secluded garden area. My only complaints are that the food was...

The Hotel and Auberge are run by the same couple. The Hotel (as pictured) provides the accommodation and breakfast. The Auberge (directly opposite on a quiet road) provides the evening meals which past contributors have correctly identified as being of excellent quality with a good price range. Ask for a room at the hotel overlooking the gardens (beautifully laid out...

Can't comment on the hotel but the restaurant was excellent. I was taken by good friends who knew and loved the place. The menus offered a good range of local produce as well as choices such as scallops, service was pleasant without being obtrusive and we enjoyed a fine bottle of Ruilly after glasses of Cremant. Best of all was...

We spent a night here while cycling through Burgundy. The pool was a very welcome sight after a day on the bike? The room was clean and comfortable, nothing outstanding but not simply mediocre either. Free wifi is provided so it is easy to stay in touch while there. The restaurant is across the street from the inn. Our dinner...
