It is the second time we have stayed here. The hotel is small but very correct. Cleanliness and attention from the staff of 10. Friendliness and professionalism to the maximum from reception to restaurant staff.
It is in an unbeatable location just a few meters from the slopes which multiplies its value by 10, it is appreciated when you have to walk with your ski boots on 😁
It is true that it is very hot at night and sometimes it is necessary to open the windows but it is better to be hot than cold.
We will be back !!

I went to this hotel in March 2005 and the hotel is exclusive to First choice holidays.
This hotel is a small hotel that is well located about 100meters from the nearest chair lift (about 400 meters from beginners slopes).
The hotel is in a small street that cannot be reached by coach so you have to unload your luggage from the coach and walk about 400/500 meters to the hotel ( a van takes your luggage).
A minus is that the van driver throws your luggage into a pile in the middle of the road and it is a free for all to collect your luggage.
After you have collected your luggage you then have to queue in the street with the rest of the new guests which is again another free for all.
Once inside the hotel you are allocated your room which although a little tired is fairly comfortable, the main let down is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERTHING.
We are a family of 4 and we booked this hotel through first choice very early with another family however we were not anywhere near each other in the hotel which was one of thouse things BUT the hotel managed to put 3 groups of youngsters next to each other and in turn put them next to us??
The hotel does suffer noise at night and although there were complaints from various guests the hotel did little about it.
The good side is that the hotels food was reasonable and varied especially for a 2 star and the hotel bar has a good atmosphere and the barman is very nice.
I probably would not go back to this hotel mainly because of the noise.
Moving onto pas de la casa they call it the IBIZA of the slopes.......Its not that bad, there are many bars etc but it was not like I thought it would be...a word of warning though I would not waste your money on an excursion called MEX TEX a so called mexican night...... it was awful.

We have just returned from a last minute snow deal staying at the Hotel Catalunya. I must admit I wasnt looking forward to the accomodation, only the opportunity to catch another week on the slopes. Admittedly the room was very basic, with the decor not the most up to date but it was clean and comfortable - your bed was made each day along with a change of towels and your bedding was changed once during your weeks stay. We were on the first floor and after reading other reviews I was expecting very little sleep, however the noise was not as bad as expected and we did manage to get a fairly decent sleep each night. I do however think that it depends on what guests are on your floor as some people on the fourth floor did say it was a little noiser than others. The buffet style breakfast and dinner was good, the food was basic but very edible with a variety of dishes each night for dinner. The hotel is situated 2 minutes from the slopes so it is excellent for those of us who dont like carrying our skis or boards too far! All in all the staff, including Juan the bar man, were very friendly and as a budget 2 star rated hotel I dont think it was that bad at all.

My partner and I stayed here during the New Year. The hotel is an idea location for skiing as the lifts are a short distance from the hotel. The ski and boot room is great for access but on the smaller side. We had half board during our stay and it exceeded our expectations. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. We would like to especially thank Ruben, his customer service was impeccable and his kind personality shone through. He answered any question we had and made us feel completely comfortable during our stay. The food was delicious, various breakfast and dinner options were available. New Year’s Eve dinner was made very special for us by the staff, the hotel provided a welcome drink, bottle of wine and saxophonist at dinner. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return! Thank you!😁

I've been in this hotel for 4 days and when you come down for breakfast they initially say there are either fried or scrambled eggs. Well, the cook doesn't feel like adding them because he has decided to do so, leaving all the customers without them... The pinto beans... A rice that can be made into a puree from how old it is... Of course, she lays some week-old hard-boiled eggs that taste rotten... Jar juice and bad coffee. One of the worst breakfasts I have ever seen and on top of that they don't charge you cheap. Recommendation, do not have breakfast since it is seen that in the kitchen they stop cooking.... Almost everything is recycled from one day to the next and so on day after day... Better to go to any bar or other hotel if you don't want to get sick. .. that the food will be fresh and much cheaper. They should fire the head chef who is clearly not doing his job and repeatedly. Lousy breakfast and risk of getting sick. Unacceptable service.

The hotel has a fantastic location, just a few meters from the chairlift and in the center of the city. The service was outstanding! The receptionists and restaurant staff were a pleasure to talk to and always made sure we had everything we needed. Special thanks to Ruben and Quentin who were very kind and worked hard to make us feel welcome.
Our room was clean, the food was great, and there was a large selection of meals to choose from!

For a 3 star hotel this is an excellent choice for half board.
Location is brilliant. It’s a 1 minute walk to the lifts, shops and bars. Food is very good. Choice is limited, as it’s only a small hotel, but this results in the food being fresh and tasteful as it’s not cooked on mass.
Staff are brilliant. Really helpful, extremely polite and very tentative with you.
Rooms are ideal size for two people. Basic but everything you need. Beds are very very comfortable.

All staff friendly and helpful. Front desk always staffed when I passed. Rooms clean and comfortable. I inadvertently ordered the breakfast option and am very pleased that I did. Hotel so far very quiet, no anti social noise. Very close to shops and less than 2 minute walk to slopes. Would I come back? Most definitely. For my first ever snow trip , El pas de la Casa has worked out very well. Would recommend everything here without reservation. Bravo the staff at Hotel Catalunya ski 👏🏻👏🏻😊 ps trip booked with WeSki. Very good communications and nicely put together relatively inexpensive package. Very pleased with them too.

We had a lovely stay here last week. The staff where very friendly and attentive to guests. The bedrooms where basic but very clean. The staff always left more than enough fresh towels. Breakfast was well prepared and fresh. The hotel is very handy to the slopes, surrounding shops and eateries. Pas is very lively, and full of fun! so I suggest if your a light sleeper, some earplugs might be useful. Didn't bother us much.
The down side is if you don't do apres ski or have children is no lounge or bar area to relax in.
