I have many good experience at this resort, that is before the earthquake that destroyed the tower block. It is sad to see the whole tower block leveled after the quake and left empty. The resort is also showing its' age. Frankly it requires refreshing makeover. I was assigned a chalet where its heater/aircon unit was not working. The 7 degree night gave me little rest. Though they supplied a portable heater that blows hot air into the ceiling of a very large room, the room remained cold. I had to go to bed skipping my daily shower! Overall the property is still beautiful. But journey there through broken road is not pleasant and the aged rooms did not make the trip memorable.
This is a good place to stay to access Mount Plulchowki and the Botanic Gardens. Although it's not a grand place, it is really well managed and the food and beverage staff are outstanding. Recommended.
I stayed at Godavari Village Resort hotel from September 13 - 19, 2019. The hotel is good. Attending the Clean Clothes Campaign's meeting-cum -workshop was the purpose of my stay. In my opinion, they would do well to consider doing the folliwing: a. Train the staff to be more customer-focused, b. Organize some entertainment at the restaurant at dinner time and also guided hikes etc ; c. Build the hotel's management philosophy around sustainability by; - Gradually replacing the hotel's CFL bulbs with LED bulbs for illumination; - Going solar, - Installing a few wind-mills to generate electricity, - Using less plastics and - Composting the biodegradable garbage. If they launch a serious green initiative in the hotel, they should be able to market it to the environmentally conscious green tourists abroad.…
It has been the worst experience... hidden cost too much expensive for the facility they provide disgusting meal out dated n dirty foul smelling room n decor, manager not responding to complains.. highly not recommended to anyone....will give minus star
