The hotel facilities are nice and there is a nice view. But, the room and bathroom are so disappointing, too small, toilet under the shower, the bath tub was broken, and quite dirty. Totally different from what you see on internet. My room was the worst from the hotel, I think. Apart from all that, the only night we stayed there, there was NO HOT WATER, and until the next morning we couldn’t take a shower (even in spring it was cold in the night). The management of that situation was really bad, they didn’t explain anything, didn’t apologize, and even worst they didn’t change us to another room. I was expecting to have my money back, but they refused. Sometimes, things can happen, but everything together, I was very angry and dissatisfied. At least, was expecting my money back.
stayed at this hotel for three nights last week. Among the pros - The rooms are very clean and have almost everything you need. they do not have a safe or a fridge, but they do provide all the other amenities (an extension to plus in multiple devices, toiletries, slippers, a cupboard, hot water in the bathroom and Netflix on tv!) the first room we were in was rather small - although still clean. they did kindly move us to a much bigger room in the next building the next day. so ask for a room in the newer building) The breakfast was very good with a good choice. they also do a dinner buffet every night or you can order a la carte. The do have backup generators incase the power gets cut. the views from the hotel are amazing and i think every room gets the same view. they also have a spa on the hotel property and I can recommend the swedish massage. The therapist was great and very accommodating. The reception staff are both very helpful. They organized our airport pick up and drop, a car for us to go to kathmandu for the day etc you can always call them and they do whatever they can to accomodate you. Of note, the car that picked us up was at 4am when it was still dark outside and we felt perfectly safe. the closest grocery shop is about 20mins walk downhill and the closest hiking trails are about 10-20mins on both sides of the hotel.…
This hotel is really overpriced and doesn't worth it at all. Bedrooms are small and very old, food is expensive and not good, breakfast buffet is also disappointing. Staff could also be more friendly and helpful. Sorry bit my stay was really disappointing and can not recommend this hotel.
It was great stay in Country Villa ..good food ..awesome scenic view and great hospitality.. morning breakfast was the main attraction with a Himalayas view..highly recommended for couples and family ..great place for relaxation..we enjoyed a lot
Nice ambience out didn't like the service. They charged extra Rs 130 for 1 litter bottle usually same bottle cost Rs 20 in the market. They didn't mention or informed about the extra charge while ordering the water.Usally other hotels provide free water with the room. They didn't provide water in the room except a very small bottle of water. As a couple it's obvious that the compliment bottle won't be enough. They should have mentioned that extra charge will be charge. Its their strategy to take extra payment with the guest even after paying handsome charge for the room and food package.Food is very oily and salty not even tasty.surprisingly bakery items are fresh and delicious.
Deeply disappointed on our 3rd visit to this place... previously we stopped for coffee & cake, so felt confident taking 8 friends for lunch - however we were very embarrassed by the service & cost of the meal... my lunch arrived after everyone had finished, we needed to ask several times for hot water and the final cost was astronomical. There is no way that anyone can justify dal bhat set at more than 1000npr plus tax, robbery and embarrassing for my friends.
Five stars for the luxourious suite with the jacuzzi and the balconies. The rooms are designed with good taste and are very comfortable.. Perfect and friendly service, delicious cheese fondue with good red wine and a rich breakfast with astonishing view. I would recommend for a couple looking for luxury with mountain view or for a family as well. The view was at its best at sunrise!
For having stayed almost one week at this wonderful address, I can confirm that all ingredients to enjoy a high class unforgettable stay in Nagarkot are in this excellent hotel: incredible panoramic view over Himalayas from rooms and their balcony, lobby, restaurant, gardens; kindness, professionalism and excellency of the staff from check-in to check-out especially kindly helping us with all needs at the reception and treating us royally at the restaurant; excellent menu, choice of beers and wines and high quality buffet (which is rare enough to be underlined); great rooms cleanliness, comfort, equipment and balcony; nice sauna as an icing on the cake (only regret: not to have found time to try massage)!
We spent quality time in country villa. My baby and my parents all enjoyed a lot. Though our stay was for couple of days but the memory we gathered was for life time. The food and scenery was extraordinary.. We loved the place, hotel and ambience a lot. Thank you country villa for making our trip memorable and happy. We will be visiting soon again. BANDANA BISTA
The hotel looks beautiful but do not be fooled by their advertising. They are currently advertising a monsoon sora oak with no written day of the week requirements. They have a separate promotion advertised for a weekday special. When you call to for a booking they will not honor their rates as advertised.
