We had a great time here. 5 guys stayed here and rented out john boats for 2 days. They do a great job of keeping the rooms and especially the boats clean. I appreciated how quick she responded to my calls before booking. Will stay there again next year!!

We stayed in cabin 10. I liked the contactless check in. Our cabin wasn’t fancy but the price was fair and we had everything we needed. The fishing was fantastic and after a full day of fishing in the sun we enjoyed being able to kick back in the AC and relax. . We used the free WiFi option and it worked well for us. They do have an option to pay for faster service but the free service met our needs. We will definitely stay here again.

We spent three nights; two days fishing with long-time friends who had never trout fished. We enjoyed Cabin 9 -- it was clean and quiet. Julie and Steve are great hosts. We caught our limit both days fishing. We have enjoyed His Place for a long time and will continue to patronize the resort. It's not a fancy, luxury resort -- it is a great down-home, reasonably priced place to settle in and enjoy the White River and all it has to offer. We enjoy the walking trail next to the resort, too. Be sure to grab a take-out meal at KT's BBQ to enjoy at the picnic table at your lodging.

WE stayed 6 nights this past week. This was our second time the past two years to stay here. Great place to stay directly on the White river. WE stay in unit 12. It have plenty of room, is very clean. We especially enjoy sitting on the back porch by the fire in the evenings. Already looking forward to our next visit.

My family and I have been going to His Place multiple times a year for about 5 years now! Hands down my favorite place. Steve and Julie are always so sweet and accommodating. Able to answer any questions about your fishing needs. I’ve stayed in multiple different cabins and they have all been clean and homey. So relaxing sitting on the porch listening to the river. There are multiple places to fish by the cabins, including a dock with a sink and running water to clean your fish. A huge pavilion that we have thrown multiple parties in. All very accessible. Highly recommend this place!!!!!!

We absolutely love His Place Resort. Julie and Steve run an amazing little spot right on the white river in Cotter AR. You can relax sitting on the fishing dock or on the large deck overlooking the river. It is amazing to sit and watch the eagles raise their young. Julie and Steve are always available for anytythat you may need. Including moaning you a coat because you didn’t bring warm enough clothes or giving you some ketchup for your fries because you forgot to bring some. The cabins are cozy and always meticulously clean. Extra towels pillows or blankets are just a phone call away. We have been to the resort with family with friends and just as a couples getaway and every time has been wonderful! Can’t wait til I can go back again!

The resort was just OK, it is old and run down. The cabins are actually mobile units. You cant see much of the river as the brush is all grown up, what a shame, seems like it would not take much effort to clear a view. You are pretty close to the highway and can hear traffic. I will say the rooms were clean. With some effort to clean the sight up, update the rooms and provide a view of the river, the His Place Resort would be a nice place, wont be heading back....

Hello, and thank you for your valuable input. Of all our reviews, this was the first one below a 4 on TripAdvisor, so we definitely want to learn from it and do better! Yes, some of our units are mobile homes, which we show clearly. For updates to the rooms, we just had the phone company do an entirely new internet installation. We're told we have the fastest installation of this type in the 5 county area, and now have excellent wifi coverage in all lodging. This also enabled us to upgrade to Roku/Sling Internet TVs, producing very positive feedback. We continue to do improvements whenever possible. Although we cannot clearcut the banks due to erosion near the unit you were in, we will take your valuable feedback and see what can be done, as you were in a unit right at the river's edge where there is little elevation above the high water mark. Also, in an effort to be green, our towels, sheets & trash policy is as follows: Outside Trash is emptied daily. After every 3rd night, we change out towels, sheets, kitchen towels, etc., restock, and touch up. Additional maid service is available for a nominal fee. This info is posted on the fridge. So, why did I mention this policy when the review didn't? Because in all fairness, I believe the severity of this review has more to do with a misunderstanding between us regarding this policy, leaving you very upset with me personally when I tried to explain, than it is about giving us a fair assessment. I sincerely apologize, again, for any confusion. But if I'm wrong about that, I'd like to add that this is a wonderful area that also has other types of accommodations with a more manicured / city-type of feel to them that might suit you better. There's something for everyone in the Ozarks! At any rate, please let me offer my very best wishes to you both, and hope that you continue to visit on the White River, and have many great fishing trips ahead! God Bless.
