We stayed at the Palms for 5 months prior to Covid and loved it here, except for the division between owners and renters. Those who can afford to come for the winter but don’t want to buy a spot are treated by management and about 1/2 the owners as the lower class. This year, we were excited to come back for 5 months and possibly buy a lot but due to attitudes here, there’s no way. A house is under construction 4 feet from our RV, with equipment noise, dirt and very noisy work crews waking us at around 7 a.m. every day. Our RV has been taped up with plastic a couple of times after having dirt and water sprayed all over it while the crew was plastering the building. When we registered and payed our deposit, we were told the construction would be done by the end of November, we thought we would be ok with it for 2 weeks. Now management says maybe by the end of January. They haven’t started tiling on the roof yet and I am afraid of a stack of roof tiles falling on our RV. The high winds have already been blowing them off onto the ground between us and the house…. Yes, in the 4’ space between us…. I wish we had taken pictures! The renters on the other side of the house had gone to the manager (Bill) to discuss a partial refund, but were told “No, you’ve already paid”. They offered to let us move to another site, but wouldn’t pay to relocate the wifi (oh yeah - they’re kidding when they offer it free on their website - good luck with the park’s cable channels too). So absolutely no compensation for ruining our winter vacation, and when we told them we will never come back, they said “oh, that’s unfortunate”. I don’t blame the office staff, they are doing what they are told. I also tried to get involved with some social events here but NOBODY (owners) would respond to my offers to help. The classes I wanted to attend were cancelled. Last week most of the equipment in the laundry room was out of order. Covid apparently doesn’t exist here - (can’t believe the guy said it out loud! But he has it now so….). The drink prices have gone up 25% in 18 months and now all the food prices went up because they are having “supply problems” (they ran out of fries). The hot tubs are often “frothy” and the shower rooms and dog bath areas are often filthy. And for goodness sakes don’t lose the string on your park ID as it will cost you $30! If there were some compensation for the bad situation we have landed in, I would be more forgiving but I’m rating the park at a high 1 because the palm trees are beautiful and it’s nice to have a poolside bar area.

This park has owners and renters and they do not mix. We have stayed here several times. Once for three months. It has become an owners park with some rental spots. The owners are free to do whatever but there are many rules for the renters. We were disappointing this last visit. We were paying top dollar but had to look at the owners junk for 21/2 weeks. Most owners are neat and tidy but several do not care.

The Palms RV Resort has everything we were looking for in the sunniest city in the world, Yuma Arizona. A very active & welcoming Pickleball community, two huge pools with two huge jacuzzis, bocce ball, putting green, on-site Cafe 55 with a very delicious and extensive menu, open 7 days a week, Cabana bar poolside, many classes in the pool and recreation center, and the friendliest people in a classy Resort that we’ve ever been to. So nice, we’re buying a beautiful home right in the Resort! Did I mention Pickleball? 8 courts that have players drilling or having pickup games or attending organized open play every day of the week. We really wanted an active Pickleball club and they have it.

We stayed at this park in April. We came in late and left early so we didn’t utilize any amenities. We attempted to make reservations for a couple of nights on our recent trip. We were told they have strict guidelines and our 1992 unit was too old. It’s in great shape with only 85,000 miles. At their request, we had provided a picture of our motorhome about mid morning. They waited until after 5:00pm, after other park offices had closed, to inform us they were not going to allow us to stay there. I had great difficulty finding a park that would answer the phone after hours to make alternate plans

I called to make a reservation two months in advance. The lady I spoke with said "oh we are not taking reservations earlier than 1 week in advance". She went on to say not to worry that she was confident they would have a space when I called 1 week before. Knowing how Yuma fills up I opted to go elsewhere where they glady made my resv. I just thought how strange to be told this from a reservation person.

We stayed in the resort for nearly 7 months. The manager, Bill, was very welcoming in the beginning. When we had issues with the security person pounding on our door to ask us to move our car (which had had previously moved to as requested by landscaping) he was "unavailable. When the resort did not fulfill their agreement with us to stay in the park, he was not willing to offer concessions for their errors (11 errors, but whose counting). We decided we would check out some other resorts, but keep the door open. When we left, we asked them to hold our mail as we were expecting the delivery of a passport and they refused. They would not even forward our mail! We decided to close that door. Unfortunately, management sets the tone and it is unacceptable. There are many options in Yuma, stay clear of the Palms! We are a quiet, respectful couple that keep to ourselves and have owned businesses. I have been on the receiving end of a negative review and have never wanted to post something like this, but this was unacceptable.

From first glance you found the nicest RV and Home resort in Yuma. Unfortunately the GM is extremely dishonest. Don’t buy in this park and If you must don’t use the GM as your builder. He will find another buyer at a higher price and break your contract. Other than him and his 40 years of dishonest business dealings, the park was ok. Ok place to spend a couple nights though.

It is amazing how someone can go on and write such falsehoods. Anyone that would like the WHOLE story can certainly call me direct at 928 341 4646 and I will give you all the good and bad facts about this transaction. Karma does exist so I have no worries.

Very poor landscape maintenance- weeds growing in RV sites. Pool furniture was falling apart and not nearly enough loungers. Pool and hot tubs were not maintained properly- scum and foam in tubs, pool needed cleaning. Pool was not very warm at all. Poor communications regarding events- times, cost and location...had to scour Facebook site for info- simple email chain would work. Very disappointed in what appeared to be an 'upscale' RV park and what they charge

well designed beautiful RV Park with excellent facilities and space to move about. This a nd the ownership park Country Roads are the very best in the Yuma Area. Facilities include multiple pools, outdoor sports, indoor concert hall, vast entertainment schedule and even an annual car show. Just add a grocery store and you would never need to leave.
