We needed a place to get out of Dodge, and we were so happy the STGR is open for business! We have been going to this true diamond for nearly 15 years, and have watched our children "grow up" going to this magical ranch in the middle of the desert. I have personally been there 20+ times, even going when I have had business in Las Vegas. From Southern California, it's a 5.5 hour drive, and when you get the end of the rainbow you will not be disappointed. The McCormick family has taken a family tradition to new heights, offering some of the best riding you can imagine, along with a host of new activities: Humvee tours, Archery, bike rides, and the most endearing herd of goats! Even my 18 year old was taken in by their affection! JP, Trish, Tristan McCormick have made significant investments in what was already a wonderful place, and taken it to new levels. The wranglers are great, safe, wonderful people, who have only your safety, the horse's safety, in mind, while providing wonderful tours of the 600k acres of pristine BLM land that surround the ranch. Even after 20+ visits, we all discovered something new this trip. The rooms have all been upgraded, and are appropriately themed, clean, and comfortable. The food is FANTASTIC! Randy has been the chef there for as long as we have been going, and he maintains a very high level of delicious cowboy fare! I could go on and on, but I'll cut this short here, and just highly recommend that if you are looking for a get-away and want to experience a piece of the WEST on horseback (or bike, or humvee, atv, etc). you cannot do any better than this. It's my boyhood dream! We're already planning our next adventure later this year!

IF you are even considering a dude ranch you MUST go to this one!! J.P., his wife, Trish and family could NOT have made this a better experience! The ranch is set beautifully at the base of 3 mountain ranges which provide gorgeous vistas, sunrises and sunsets. The family and staff, including wranglers, May and Wes are so kind and attentive. They cannot do enough for you! Randy, the chef makes good, wholesome, American food and is willing to accommodate any food allergies and/or preferences one may have. The trail rides are so fun and again so accommodating! Every morning, afternoon or evening, the staff asked if we wanted to ride; where we wanted to ride and what time. Whether beginner, novice, advanced or very experienced, they will take care of you and match the horse and ride to your abilities and comfort level. Even small children were riding with NO concern. When it was time the horses were saddled, wranglers and guides at the ready. The ranch itself is so thoughtfully put together with western theme, beautiful, historic stage coaches and vignettes. Just a great place. The camp fire at night with guitar and sing along, if desired was great! The rooms are nicely appointed with quality furniture and western apropos themes which carry forward the ranch feel into ones private time. The pool clean and GREAT temperature to cool off in heat! Many enjoyed the hot tub as night cooled. Oh! And Christian, we can't forget the ATV ride! So fun and informative! The staff and thought through safety precautions not only for COVID-19 for which it was VERY WELL prepared but also on trial rides and around the ranch itself. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for a wonderful time!! We could not have felt more welcomed, appreciated or comfortable!

With as uncertain as the world is right now with the covid-19 pandemic and the unrest in cities with protesters, Stagecoach Trails guest ranch offered our family a getaway from it all. The owners and staff have made safety their priority with rules/regulations, hand sanitizers EVERYWHERE and reaffirming staying one horse length apart. We couldn’t be more pleased with measures they have taken to ensure our time there was safe and happy! A “MUST DO “ on everyone’s list- with a crazy world or not! ❤️

When myself and a friend were visiting USA we were looking for a short stay with a true ranch experience. We initially never intended to look in Arizona but our search for a true ranch lead us to stagecoach trails guest ranch and wow was it a true experience! Firstly, and very importantly...take note of the directions the ranch give you! Very important!! As we drove up a very long and very dusty road into the middle of nowhere, with cactus all around us, away from the cities and the highways, we already started to feel that western vibe. We had seen photos of the ranch but weren't prepared for the magic when we pulled in. There are so many little touches that give this place an authentic feel, from the wagon wheels propped up against cacti, to the little cowboy signs dotted around the place. After being shown to our room, which was beautiful, we settled our stuff and explored a little. Firstly the room....it couldn't be more 'ranch' if it tried. Everything about the room was authentic, from the bed throws to to rocking chair on the porch. Little touches like a rack of cowboy hats to use at your pleasure. The ranch itself is full of little surprises, from funny signs, to surprise goats, and inside the house full of ropes, saddles and old guns, saloon doors to a snug, it was just beautiful. Now onto the horses....having been a horse owner all my life I want to ensure horses are well cared for and have seen some places where they are not. These horses are in fantastic shape, lovely condition, not a mark on them. I was initially supposed to ride a different horse however when they walked him to me he was a little stiff. I was worried they would ignore it but they noticed immediately, swapped him for another horse and went about checking the original horse all over, stretching him out and checking his feet etc. I rode Dozer and my friend rode Stetson. Our first ride was walk only and we understood that this was necessary whilst the staff got to know us and our abilities. We got chatting to the ranger who told us often people lie about their experience so they have to be careful (we saw a couple of guests during our stay who clearly thought they were better than they were!) Another walk ride in the morning and then after that we were off and able to have some lopes for the rest of our rides. The area is vast and beautiful, but hot! Water is available to take with you and the saddles are equipped with bottle holders. Sunglasses and hats are recommended! The rangers knew their stuff and the routes and the riding was plentiful (we were sore at the end of the day!) The entertainment was great with something different each night, we had shoot outs, lasso lessons, live music and campfires. The food was simply stunning! Every meal we had was fantastic. Fresh, tasty and lots of it The staff themselves were all super friendly and enthusiastic. This is a real ranch so respect that they have lots of work to do aswell as seeing to the guests. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone wanting a authentic experience. It's hot and dusty and everything we wanted and more.

Review collected in partnership with this attraction
This was my first trip to a guest ranch, and I am an inexperienced rider so I was apprehensive about this visit. I was immediately put at ease with the welcome we received from Trisha and the staff. The owners created a friendly atmosphere, and we enjoyed conversations with them and other guests. There were a few very pleasant surprises worthy of note. Tristan had a wonderful selection of Irish whiskey and Scotch whisky available, a perfect after dinner treat. Speaking of dinner, the chef (from Wisconsin) prepared a variety of delicious offerings, served family style. We did not go hungry. The ranch was closed to guests the day after we left so that they could accommodate veterans and spouses from the Wounded Warrior Project, I can't say enough about J.P. and his family and their ranch. It was an experience I will never forget.
