Have been meaning to write this review for a while. We stayed for 2 nights last September. The family that run the ranch are so welcoming. We enjoyed the horse riding (wish we saw a rattle snake though :-) The other guests staying at the hotel were great to talk to and the whole vibe was relaxed and comfortable. Our... More

Although we only stayed for 1 night it was extremely bliss and relaxing. We only wish we had longer. JP and Trish were more than welcoming and obliging. The food is fabulous and plentiful! The whole ranch is beautiful and you are never short of fun things to do - horse riding, shooting, traditional cowboy games and also walking the... More

Its quite a journey on the sand roads to get to this place, we forgot not to follow the sat nav once we left the i40 initially so don't make that mistake! The place is everything you could want or expect from a ranch in the desert, food was plentiful and tasty, staff are all very friendly and helpful and... More

We booked our family reunion at STGR. It met all our criteria: lots of things to do for people of all ages in a contained, safe location and all-inclusive resort (meals, rooms, horseback rides etc). Bonus: wifi was spotty, so we were essentially unplugged, not a small feat nowadays. JP and Trisha did everything they could to accommodate our group's... More

We stayed here to get over the jet lag for 3 -4 nights before we started out trip. This place is not the easiest to find but use the directions and roads are also not the best. It's ages away from everything with no internet or anything really so time just to relax. Wrangler staff were great, apart from that... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our ranch experience. The long ride to it made it all the more special and authentic. The whole team were friendly and welcoming and made sure we had plenty to do to have fun including archery and rifle shooting. Food and accommodation were perfect for the occasion. Good rides for beginner and intermediate. Mostly walking and some trotting/cantering... More

We (my wife and I) booked the ranch as part of our tour of the area. There is a 19 mile dirt track leading off the interstate, so when you get to the ranch you are in the middle of nowhere. This is how one imagines how the real wild west was in the 1880's. All the guys on the... More

We had 2 nights at the ranch 27 & 28 May 2016, within a hour of arriving we wished we had booked longer, even my husband and aunt and uncle who were originally not sure about this part of our trip were instantly converted. It was lovely to meet the owners Trish and JP and we thank you for a... More
