I did alot of research for my trip and was full of nerves as to what and where we were staying. I was delighted to book the frank sinatra room and even more pleased we we opened my bedroom door! Qaint, and realistic. Simple yet stylish. Purely the best place we have stayed, for history and quirky items. Shop is... More

What a great historic preservation hotel! Everything was done very well. Our room was wonderful and very clean. The grounds and gardens were lovely. All the rooms are named for movie stars. We stayed in the Mary Pickford right across from the John Wayne. We ate at the restaurant, which is first class. The next morning I was able to... More

Where do I begin with the wonderful aspects about this hotel? From the gardens, to the artistic spaces, to the reading rooms and restaurant, it is hard to know where to start. There are places to read, write, meditate or play a board game. If you like to get up and go, you can go for a bike ride or... More

Winslow was by far our favourite town on Route 66 - the friendly people as well as the kitsch "Standin' on the Corner" vibe. But by far the best was the evening we spent at La Posada and the wonderful service and food in their restaurant. The room was wonderful and not unreasonably priced - but bear in mind this... More

Winslow, Arizona is not just a lyric in an Eagle's song. It has a quaint Hotel called the La Posada. It used to be a Train Station with one of the last Harvey House attaced to it. My husband and I were blessed to get the last room available for the night (we were just passing through), I was told... More

The La Posada is a Mary Colter's masterpiece. It continues to be a stunning Great Railroad Hotel. Built in the style of a Spanish castle, it has been restored to the days of the Fred Harvey Hotels built by the Santa Fe Railroad. It is complete with a library, garden maze, gorgeous Martini Bar and dining room. The restaurant features... More

Upon arrival, we were a little concerned about some areas of the grounds that were 'under construction' but those concerns quickly diminished as we were treated to a very pleasant experience at La Posada. We arrived a few hours before the formal check-in time but were told to enjoy the hotel and grounds and return in an hour. We did... More

What a place, the rooms are excellent, each one unique in many ways, the antiques throughout the hotel are just fantastic, and the modern art in the galleries just outstanding! The owners have done a splendid job of restoring this old landmark hotel, the gardens are unique and the restaurant whilst pricey is also at a level you would never... More

La Posada is a masterpiece. This grand hotel from the glory days of the Santa Fe railroad is also the crowning achievement of Mary Colter who is known as the architect of the Southwest. After years of neglect the hotel has been restored complete with period furniture, art, and gardens. You will be very comfortable here and you have a... More

What a find! This is one of the old Railroad Hotels built at a railroad station. Lot's of history and art in the many spacious rooms where you can sit and relax if it is too hot to sit in one of their many gardens. The staff is very accommodating. They also have an excellent restaurant (See ratings for The... More
