I stayed in Room 100 on the southwestern end of the hotel in a room equipped with a king-size bed. It had windows on two walls, a small desk, easy chair on flat-screen TV. This is a beautifully restored railroad hotel, a Harvey House, and serves as an Amtrak depot. The frequent passing trains did not disturb my sleep. La... More

If you are ever unfortunate enough to find yourself in Winslow Arizona, then hide away in this oasis. We stopped in Winslow for brunch at the Posada...a complete delight. In an historic building, the dining room served delicious food, delivered by lovely servers. Highly recommended.

My favourite hotel in the world. The building continues to evolve. 5th trip leading a motorcycle tour. Very helpful. Wow have the gardens changed since our first visit when the hotel had first opened. Too much to tell you experience this hotel with the Santa Fe Railroad on one side and Route 66 on the other. The restaurant continues to... More

We stayed in Room 100 it was very comfortable clean and very enjoyable. The building and grounds are beautiful. As long as you don't mind the trains all night long they do rumble the building. We loved it here.

We spent two nights at La Posada and dined both nights in the Turquoise Room. This is our third stay at La Posada and we are always impressed with the property and ongoing improvements. This is such a character property and it transports you back to a time when travel was slower. The owners have done a great job at... More

This is our second visit to La Posada while transiting between San Diego and Colorado Springs. It's the perfect mid-point. The hotel has a long and storied history as a structure. The current ownership has managed to bring it back to its glory days when grand hotels were sprinkled along the rail lines. Each room is different, ours was dedicated... More

What a remarkable place! This is the last Harvey House built in the early twentieth century. It has been beautifully restored and is a wonderfully nostalgic stop both on Route 66 and the railroad. Our room was small but very comfortable. It was filled with vintage furniture. We spent almost two hours touring the restored hotel, viewing the videos, and... More

Not much in Winslow, Arizona, but this beautiful hotel is very reasonably priced historic hotel. The hotel is a "train site" Fred Harvey hotel. Clean, uniquely decorated rooms. Restaurant in hotel is very good.

We were delighted with our stay at La Posada. It is a miracle that this beautiful historic Fred Harvey hotel has been restored! Our room was lovely, comfortable, clean & quiet. The common rooms are carefully restored, with areas for reading, playing board games, listening to a fine guitarist, etc. There is a walled garden with corn & vegetables. It... More

Beautiful architecture. Trip with 3 other couples. Checked in and found no elevator. Had to lug over 100 lbs of luggage up 2 flights of steps. Not a good first impression. Enjoyed sitting on the rear patio in the morning and watching the trains. One evening all four couples took a bottle of wine and sat under the pergola in... More
