Beautifully restored historic inn with modern conveniences including TV, air conditioning, ample outlets, and hair dryer. Clean and comfortable as long as you’re okay with the few cons. It’s located directly across from the train station, so if you’re a light sleeper, that may be an issue. Also, all the guest rooms are located on the second floor up a somewhat steep and narrow staircase, which would definitely be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or a lot of luggage. None of these were an issue for us, so our stay was nothing short of excellent. It’s just around the corner from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Williams, making it a perfect base to explore the town from. The caretaker in the morning explained a lot of the history to us and gave a mini tour as he explained the history of each of the rooms. Such a unique and wonderful experience. Highly recommended.…
Excellent place to spend the night. Found it on our way to visit family in California and on our return trip made a reservation to stay. Stayed in room 2. Comfortable and slept with the window open for the fresh mountain air. Definitely recommend.
Red Garter Inn's roots go back to 1897 when it was a eight-room bordello, operating for close to 40 years. It's now a four-room inn that's been nicely restored with modern comforts. It's a steep climb up to the second floor but it's a nice perch above Route 66 with views of the train depot. I don't recall any railroad noise. I stayed in Room 1, the Best Gal's Room, and it includes a sitting room and has north-facing windows on the front of the building. The bathroom has modern fixtures and is plenty large enough. Coffee and ice are available along with a refrigerator in a common room. The bedding was comfortable and the TV had lots of choices. I enjoyed the stay in this historic property.
The Red Garter Inn was a really fun stay in a great location - the historic part of Williams is really cute and lots of good restaurants nearby. The room was much bigger than I expected, a bedroom and large sitting area/living room with a desk. Despite being along the main street it was very quiet, I had a great night's sleep, no sign of any ghosts.:-) Staff was super friendly and helpful, I was able to check in a bit early too. I would definitely stay here again and maybe next time I'll get a more ghostly experience.
We stayed at the Red Garter Inn while in Williams. We loved out time at Red Garter Inn. The staff was very friendly and the Inn was very clean! They had everything we needed plus some. Would recommend this Inn to all my friends. We will stay here again when we are in town.
