We had a wonderful time at this ranch! The room was large and comfortable with a large private back patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I regret waiting so long to write this review because I have forgotten everyone's names. The horseback riding trails were the best we have ridden. There was something for everyone and the views were magnificent. The horses were well trained. I liked my Kidd so much I requested him 3 days in a row! We had a wonderful time with the Colonel who taught me how to skeet shoot. He made me feel so comfortable and I did better than I imagined I would. The only disappointments were a lack of variety in food options and the fact that we were never able to get spa appointments even though we started trying to book them two months before we arrived. Apparently the spa is not fully staffed until November. We hope to plan another girls trip the the ranch in the future!

My husband, kids (ages 11 and 8), and I had a wonderful time at Rancho de los Caballeros! The resort is beautiful! We stayed in connecting Bradshaw suites (king and double queen). The king suite had a kitchenette with table and a fireplace. Both rooms had a great view of the mountains and horse run. We loved the southwest decor. The wranglers and horses are amazing! They really know how to match the ride with your skill level. We went riding 4 times during our stay and each trail was different and offered beautiful views of the Sonoran desert. We enjoyed the nature walk and Hassayampa river tour. Dick is extremely knowledgeable about the plants and animals of the desert. My kids absolutely loved archery! The instructor Mike is very informative. He helped us newbies feel comfortable and learn proper form. We had the getaway package so meals were included. Breakfast and lunch are buffet and dinner al a carte. There were always great options at the buffets. Dinners were my favorite though. The short ribs and filet are delicious! The cookout was very fun! We enjoyed the food, entertainment and, of course, s’mores! We didn’t golf, but the course looks so beautiful! We had such an incredible experience and can’t wait to return!

A beautiful ranch and good food and activity activities. Staff is excellent, horse program and gold course amazing. Accommodation very comfortable. But auto 15 PC gratuities on everything and for 7 of us for six nights is the price of a small car.

We recently took 24 people to the resort and I cannot say enough great things about our experience. Suzanne helped coordinate everything for us from horseback riding, penning, golf, our food, etc. We spent 3 days and had a great time. The staff was really great and our private cookout with balladeer was something to remember. So thankful to the entire team at RDLC!

Recently stayed a few days here. The visit is what you make it - there are lots of activities to take advantage of, or you could just sit out on the patio and soak in the Arizona sun. Check-in and check-out were super easy. There was always someone at the front desk if you needed anything. Rooms were large, clean, and cool. Pillows were very comfortable. We had a small issue with the bathroom which was resolved in decent time. Walls are paper-thin. If you happen to have other guests in the room next to yours, you hear everything. The food was decent. Meals are buffet style. Not a ton of choices and not the most gourmet of meals, but some of the deserts were delicious. For activities, we opted for the horseback riding and cookout. Horseback riding was fun. It's for all riding levels. A couple of wranglers accompany a group through the desert - absolutely stunningly beautiful. The cookout was good. Food was ok. The sunset was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were some of the friendliest staff I've encountered anywhere. Overall, the resort was more rustic than up-scale, but going there with that in mind, it's a great place to get away and enjoy the incomparable Arizona desert.

We stayed here for a complete chill out on our driving tour and were not disappointed. The moment we drove onto the ranch we relaxed and felt completely at home. We chose a package that included all meals (will come to these) and the opportunity for 2 activities each from trail riding, trap shooting or golf. We chose trail riding x 2. There are other activities including nature trails, electric mountain biking, jeep rides...... Our room was large and airy with a private patio over looking the adjacent dessert. The king size bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom was clean with a spa bath and shower- bit of an update wouldn’t go amiss but don’t let that put you off. Our meals were included and they were all delicious and freshly cooked - a top end restaurant standard. We had the full choice of the menu from burgers to fillet steak. I had the chef’s special both nights which included venison one night and a delicious chicken dish the other - everything was cooked perfectly. There is a dress code in the dining room in the evening - gents must wear a long sleeved collared shirt and ladies dress smartly - jeans are allowed. Lunch on our 2nd day was a bbq by the pool. The trail rides were fantastic - we joined the beginners group for our first ride - I had Bert and Keith had Lomax. We headed into the scrubby desert for a 2 hour trek. This is not along straight, sandy tracks but up and down steep hill sides - the horses are so sure-footed that even a complete novice (Keith) felt perfectly safe. We rode on Western saddles which was a first for me - very different from an English saddle and tack. On our second trail we were riding with Wrangler Audrey or Aud. There was just one other rider - a little girl - Hattie. As we set off we didn’t know that this was an intermediate ride and we would be trotting as well as walking today! OK for me but Keith’s 3rd time on a horse. However this went really well as Audrey made sure we were all comfortable and safe. We all had a great time negotiating the rocks, climbs and descents on the trail. Not to be missed are the morning and evening horse runs as the herd of over 80 horses run to and from their nightly pasture on a track around the ranch. Amazing to see these magnificent creatures doing what comes naturally as they head off together for overnight grazing. Each evening we were entertained in the saloon by different singers playing guitar and singing country songs. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

Wonderful experience. While in Arizona we stayed at the Phoenix Biltmore and Ranchos Los Caballeros. The Biltmore was overrated and over populated. Ranchos los caballeros was perfect for us. Our seven year old children loved the kids camp and attended nearly every single day. The wait staff was attentive and kind. The restaurants and food were great. My favorites were the Brussel Sprouts salad, the filet, the crème brûlée, the Lamb appetizer. The grounds were well maintained. The horses were great and trail rides were nice. The golf course is beautiful. Lunch at the golf club was a delight. I was very impressed with the kindness of the entire staff. I felt like part of a family rather than just a reservation. If you read the website they do advise you book reservations for activities in advance- we did this and were able to do all of the activities we wanted. The spa was very nice as well. I look forward to the renovations they plan to make and will be excited to return! Shout outs to Camp Caballeros!

I will start with the food and some staff were AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a more rustic casual Dude ranch this is NOT the place, this is more of a elderly wanna be country club. The front desk staff is clueless and less than helpful. When we booked our rooms we did not receive a welcome letter nor does their web site have a know before you go page to explain any details. We arrived at the ranch to find out most of what we wanted to do was already booked and that we should have booked our activities in advance. Their new activity director did help take care of some of that, but it was not a good way to start the trip. Then we were informed dinner required collared shirts and formal wear. We did not come prepared. The front desk told us we could attend the pizza making every night instead, it was casual. Luckily we went to dinner in what we had and no one said anything. There is no regular entertainment after dinner. Also there is no place to get snacks, the gift shop closed at 3, lunch is over at 1:30 and because no one warned us about making reservation before we show up our dinner was not until 8pm. They need a snack bar out by the pool. Bring extra drinks and snacks if you go. Our room was disappointing and the water in the shower would not stay hot. Based on what we paid we would not go back, we do not feel like we got our money worth. Our kids had an amazing time but the ranch is lacking in a lot of areas. The charge you arm and a leg but deliver sub quality in a lot of area. There is so much potential. Overall not awful, but we will not go back.

If you are into horseback riding, golf and fine food this is the location. The ability to ride either walk, trot or lope (canter) with super helpful corral staff you can't go wrong. Tony the head wrangler has years of experience and knows which horse is perfect for your ability. Andrea is just plain fun to ride with, she has stories to tell and wild rides to ride. Being a avid golfer I thoroughly enjoyed this expansive layout, wide fairways make the course playable, the greens are large and undulating, you can be left with a 90ft putt. The par 5's stand out, you have to play this track, its well worth the money. The restaurant is as good as the horses and the golf, we had the meals included in our package, timely service, hot tasty food and the special every night was fun. Must try the short ribs, they were our favorite. Give them a try Mike & Anna Eugene, Or

NEW OWNERSHIP - This review needs to be said. After their start in the 1940s in Dec of 2021 the ranch was sold & it shows. The employees are disgruntled about it - don't ask. That's what I learned. Customer service is lacking, no one is around. Except at breakfast then help is everywhere. Which shout out to those employees! They rock. Don't know where you go for the rest of the day! But breakfast service was on point. Food is mediocre at BEST! Can't say anything was delicious. It is built to feed many people and that's exactly what you get. Bland & Boring! Think " all inclusive at a 3 star resort " this is the food you are served. We did some excursions. The Nature Walk - This was awful and the guide was not thrilled about ownership because they cut back on giving out bottles of water. If you are the ranch reading this review... CUTTING out water bottles on your nature hike in the Arizona desert is NOT the way to cut cost. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. That's just some free advice. This should be your last thing to cut back on... but it was like pulling teeth to get a bottle of water for a " nature walk "... so the walk you load up in a van. Drive about a mile. Park on the side of the road. Walk in a circle that consist of about 300 feet and boom nature hike. It was actually quite comical. It was so bad. The SPA - This might be equally as bad. The girl at the front had no idea what different spa items were... she just kept repeating... " I am really bad at explaining it... " seriously call up and test it out... it's not her fault but lack of training... how do you sell services if you don't know what the difference between Swedish & Deep tissue is?! We had a massage and the head piece that you put your face and neck in was broken, legit it just hung there ... I asked is this adjustable because I can't put my face on it... he replied no it's been broke and new management won't fix it but I can roll up wash rags and you can put your cheeks on those. I laughed out loud... he responded no seriously it's broken. I would pass on the spa experience. Sadly the message sucked too. The Rooms - Well.... they are dirty. I get it's a ranch. Horses... nature walks... dirt but the carpet is so bad that it was most likely replaced in 1980s and it needs to be replaced. The stains are disgusting. The water pressure is as bad as a dripping faucet... meaning there is no pressure and to bring up faucets the handles to wash our hands on the sink kept falling off. Like the o ring and the actual nozzle kept falling off... Also the walls are PAPER THIN YOU GUYS!!!! PAPER THIN... you will hear every word your neighbor is saying. You might as well open the door and get to know each other! Rather you want to or not because by the end of your trip you will know EVERY SINGLE detail of their trip. This was not what I would call a dude ranch. Maybe back in the day. But it needs some love. If management doesn't step in and change things soon.. it will crumble... at this point you are better off taking your money somewhere else. There was a big group there too... who seemed to have many problems! Just over hearing them talk. Meaning don't think about booking as a venue. They will not cater to you like you would experience at other locations. #wildwildwestfail
