Detailed Reviews
We took my three daughters (3, 6 and 11) and had a wonderful visit. The service level is perfect. Krystina Brice was amazing during the entire trip. She checked us in, made sure we had a perfect room ams was a constant support person for every need we had. Her patience is incredible. She made sure we had babysitting for our little one and that our older kids were taken care of in the kids program. The little things she did made all the difference in our stay. Overall, the ranch is stunning with beautiful rooms, fantastic food and real life cowboys to make your experience real. The running of the horses (over 80 horses) in the mornings and evenings is amazing. I highly reccomend this peaceful place. And make sure to seek out Krystina to get the best service!!

We were looking for a place to play golf on escape from snow to some golf and sun in California. Was happy to discover Rancho de los Caballeros. We're not the dude ranch sort of people, but found this resort to be a great deal for a golf vacation. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Grounds were well-kept. Golf course was nicely manicured and fun with some challenge. The Ranch package with golf (or horseback riding) and American Plan for meals was great. For lunch we could eat at the golf clubhouse or at the hotel. Breakfasts included lots of fruits, breads and meats and there was a station for eggs and omelets. Because of our tee times, we ate at the golf clubhouse both days. My husband enjoyed the salmon & watermelon salad one day and the special sandwhich the next, I enjoyed the taco salad one day and the shrimp louie the next. A nice touch were the homemade cookies offered at the end of lunch. For dinner we had salads, ribeye steak and chicken marsala and dessert. On the second night we both had the night's special: smoked pork belly stuffed chile relleno. It was delicious and filling enough where we did not have salad or dessert. That night there was a hotel-sponsored cocktail party, but by the time we got off the golf course and ready for dinner we had forgotten about it. All in all a great stay. I can recommend Rancho de los Caballeros.

We stayed here for 2 nights with two teenage kids on our way to the Grand Canyon. The location is very beautiful as are the ranch grounds! My kids could not get enough of the gorgeous saguro cactus! They have a horse run twice a day when all of the ranch horse run out to pasture which is so beautiful! We took a horse back ride and did the skeet shooting both were great. One of the favorite parts of our entire Arizona trip was the cowboy cookout! It was just perfect! There was singing, the stars were out, we made smores, had our boots branded and had a delicious meal!
Because of covid we ate all of our meals on the patio. We did the all inclusive option and while the food was good and menu options were plentiful the service was extremely slow and not great. It by no means ruined our trip but certainly for whatever reason it took a long time to get food, and then longer to get the condiments requested. The rooms were nice but not grand. All in all we had a great time, I think it was good value for an authentic ranch experience. There were a lot of families and a lot of Arizona locals there during our stay.

I will start with the food and some staff were AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a more rustic casual Dude ranch this is NOT the place, this is more of a elderly wanna be country club. The front desk staff is clueless and less than helpful. When we booked our rooms we did not receive a welcome letter nor does their web site have a know before you go page to explain any details. We arrived at the ranch to find out most of what we wanted to do was already booked and that we should have booked our activities in advance. Their new activity director did help take care of some of that, but it was not a good way to start the trip. Then we were informed dinner required collared shirts and formal wear. We did not come prepared. The front desk told us we could attend the pizza making every night instead, it was casual. Luckily we went to dinner in what we had and no one said anything. There is no regular entertainment after dinner. Also there is no place to get snacks, the gift shop closed at 3, lunch is over at 1:30 and because no one warned us about making reservation before we show up our dinner was not until 8pm. They need a snack bar out by the pool. Bring extra drinks and snacks if you go. Our room was disappointing and the water in the shower would not stay hot. Based on what we paid we would not go back, we do not feel like we got our money worth. Our kids had an amazing time but the ranch is lacking in a lot of areas. The charge you arm and a leg but deliver sub quality in a lot of area. There is so much potential. Overall not awful, but we will not go back.

+1
I visited the ranch as part of a corporate meeting and spent an evening and then two full days before departing early in the morning on the fourth day. Overall, my stay at the ranch was amazing. The property itself was very nice and comfortable, but the staff is what really makes it extraordinary. Everyone from the cowboys, the wait staff, the maintenance men, the bartenders, the housekeepers, and even the morning yoga instructor understood that it is the little things that take a visit from ordinary to above and beyond.
Check in: This is a dude ranch, not a high tech Marriott, so temper your expectations. You get an actual key, not a key card, and you'll want to listen to the explanation of how to get to your room because the place is sprawling.
Room: I had a two queen bed room that was very large and comfortable. The bed was amazing. My only complaint is that it was a little dark unless I opened all of the drapes wide. I also had a few minor plumbing issues as our group was one of the first to visit the ranch after it reopened in the fall, but they were dealt with quickly by maintenance.
Food: The food was AMAZING. Everything in the restaurant was served buffet style, but there was also a station with the specials where the chef would make things your way - omelets, tacos, etc.
Activities: We had a lot of special activities because of our group, but even the things that are part of any visit to the ranch were a blast. I did morning yoga, a horseback trail ride, and many other fun things. I would also recommend you see the horses run to and from the corral and the pasture every morning. It is worth the wait.
Want to leave the ranch: Ask the front desk and a staff member will drive you into town.

Los Caballeros is on a beautiful property. The horses we rode on this trip were mostly great. The guides were wonderful, as was all the hotel staff. Meals were consistently good and service was top-notch. In addition to our rides, we experienced yoga, meditation, archery and the spa. We might have liked some more mid-day activity options - the town of Wickenburg does not offer much to see or do. The pool was a great spot to unwind, and I understand they are putting in a second pool. I would say that the bathroom needed some TLC (though the shower water pressure was wonderful!), and the air conditioning unit was like a freight train, but the room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was a small refrigerator which was useful, and we were provided bottled water daily. Overall, a very solid, enjoyable, and mellow vacation experience for me and my teenage daughter.

We took visiting friends to the restaurant ( main dining room) which used to be a lovely dining place with an excellent menu.A shock to us… it is now a buffet… And a substandard one at that! $29 for what amounted to a salad bar consisting of a mixed salad , a main course of tacos, and a churro for dessert. I will not return to this sub standard experience! Pathetic

Fabulous resort, perfect for a holiday weekend getaway. My husband golfed, we rode horses together, went to the cowboy cookout, listened to the country music performers, and had an all around amazing time. This place has it all, but most importantly the entire staff makes you feel right at home. No one ever says "no," they will accommodate any request to make you comfortable and happy. Best customer service ever.
Special thanks to Andrea "can you post a trot", Tony, Caroline and Carter at the corral; MJ, Romairo, Brett and Frank at the bar and restaurant. I look forward to seeing all of you again!

I have returned to the ranch off and on for 24 years so have seen many of the changes that have been made. It continues to be a very lovely and happy place for me to spend time. I do believe a few of the niceties of the earlier years may have been lost as growth has increased. It saddened me that , upon checking in, the front desk clerk had no knowledge that I was a returing guest...its the small things that matter. I stayed in a Sunset room but was dismayed that I had not been given a heads up ( or maybe an apology) that the view as I had always known it and what was expected, was replaced with a construction site. Not only is the stunning view of the desert interuped, any peaceful and private siting on the patio was non existant. I understand the desire to grow and improve but to not even acknowledge the compromise I was epected to accept with absolutly no conversation, significantly reduced my positive time at the ranch. Please do not ignore the small stuff!

Our room was very nice and large, and comfortably furnished, with a nice patio. The bathroom was too small, the toilet too low, and we did not like the closet being in the bathroom. Also, guests should be able to access the internet in their rooms, and we could not.
The food was very good everywhere. The new high end restaurant at the golf club was beautiful with a spectacular view and the food and staff there were excellent. We enjoyed our one lunch at the golf club, but under the American plan you should give a credit on the lunch bill there.
Dave Messersmith gave great tennis lessons and keeps the courts in good shape. Dick Fredrickson gave a nice tour of Hasayampa preserve. My rides were well managed and lots of fun. We once again enjoyed the barbeque at sunset. We enjoyed the music in the bar during several evenings.

Today's temperature at the Ranch is 85 degrees. Temperatures in March range from 70's early in the month to 80's near the end of the month. Cookouts are Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the season.
Depends on what package you have but prices and information are on their web site
Indeed, no fitness suite, but with all the other activities, you won't need one, you'll be wanting the spa!
The riding is truly tailored to what you want. For young kids the wranglers will set up really beginner riding in the corral. They will also arrange a slow walking trail ride for kids or families. These wrangler are great and will accomodate your requests.
At dinner time the head wrangler will come ask you about riding the next morning - tell him what you want and you will get it
