We stayed in suite #5 which is quite spacious with a full-size kitchen, nicely appointed with regional decor. Reagan, the new owner, went to great lengths to ensure we had everything we would need for a very comfortable stay. The suite is on the 2nd floor, reached by somewhat steep steps and without a balcony but we didn’t mind; choose a ground floor suite if you prefer. There is not a pool/hot tub, but there are seating areas with outdoor gas fireplaces in the desert garden, and bicycles to borrow. The best amenity is the inn’s location right in the heart of the historical village of Tubac, which is full of artists’ studios and galleries and several excellent restaurants. Soto’s Outpost is a few doors away, where we had good Mexican food while serenaded by excellent Mariachi singers. Elvira’s serves modern Mexican fare in an elegant setting for a special occasion. Three miles down the road is the 4th-generation Wisdom’s Cafe which was full every night with diners, many retired residents at the Tubac golf club closeby. In addition to enjoying Tubac, we took day trips to Kartchner Caverns and the hippie-chic ex-mining town of Bisbee, Madera Canyon for outstanding birding, Saguaro National Park for hiking in the Sonoran desert lush with saguaro, prickly pear, barrel cacti, and ocatillo, javelinas, and so many birds, the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, and the Sky Island Scenic Byway into the cool Santa Catalina mountains to Summerland. Tubac Country Inn is a great base for seeing it all!…
My wife and I recently spent a weekend here and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Great location. Walking distances to shops, galleries, and restaurants. The room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable, well-stocked with coffee, tee, and treats. Kitchenet with everything we needed. Quiet. Small. Clean. Relaxing. The lady who manages it was extremely pleasant and helpful. This will definitely be our first choice for any future trips to Tubac. Nice job Tubac Country Inn!!!! Thank you!
This is the third time we have stayed here over the years. We keep returning because it is an amazing place. This time we stayed in room 2, the two room suite. It was perfect for my sister and myself. We checked ourselves in and were amazed at all the special amenities. We are both extensive travelers and really appreciated all of the attention to detail--snacks, phone chargers in each room, special toiletries in the bathroom such as eye makeup remover, a wide assortment of teas and coffees, etc. etc. There was a notebook that provided all the information we needed to explore the town. The rooms were extremely comfortable and included such details as two types of pillows to choose from. We unfortunately only stayed one night so were not able to enjoy the gorgeous garden outside. This is a great place to stay to explore the unique town of Tubac. We will definitely be back!…
The Tubac Country Inn was a darling place we stay in suite 3 which had 2 queen size beds took that room as I loved the look if it has an adorable Spanish theme throughout room, it is 700 Square feet with so much charm. The porch to sit outside was perfect for having Reagan thought of everything for making your stay perfect there wasn't anything she didn't think of from microwave, mini refrigerator/ freezer, toaster, Keurig coffee cups and dishes to a nice homemade bread. It was a perfect location to walk to everything. We will defiantly go back it is a hidden gem for sure!!!
Attentive to detail, some special amenities, very quiet and comfortable. Very easy check in process, centrally located, and overall excellent stay. Would definitely recommend for couples and small families.
We LOVED our stay at the Tubac Country Inn. Our room (Suite 3) was spacious and beautifully decorated. My husband enjoyed reading in the comfy chairs outside our room. The room was nicely cooled down before we arrived. The windows looked out into neat grounds. Lots of attention to details to make our stay special: buy spray, cold filtered water in the fridge, yummy snacks, tea, coffee, chocolates and a fresh baked breakfast loaf that we had in the morning. Room was very quiet and still close to all the shops. We'll be back!!!
Room was very clean and great decor. Had all the features you would need. Was nice set up with snacks and coffee in room, even fresh baked bread. Grounds were well kept and plenty of chairs to enjoy sitting outside, especially with morning coffee. Would stay here again.
Beautifully decorated room. Stocked with everything you can think of. Perfect inn for pets. Pet friendly courtyard faces all rooms. Lovely Southwest appointments inside and out. Porch seating as well to enjoy coffee or a cocktail. Very enjoyable stay
Suite #5 comes with a full kitchen and two beds in 2 separate locations. The bathroom is at the far end of the room. Clean and very comfortable living/family room. Bench seating runs the length of the large suite along the windows. Step right off the property and you're in Tubac!
We canceled our original hotel in Green Valley at the last minute and showed up here. We booked the 2 room suite which was perfect! Great amenities including homemade zucchini bread and everything we could possibly need. The decor was nice and not overdone. Cute chairs outside to enjoy a drink or cup of coffee. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tubac!
