Kevin was very helpful and hands on with any needs we asked for! The pool was nice and cool which prepared us for the Lake which was actually warmer when we went to San Marcos to swim and just off the platform and rocks.

Away from the city center, beautiful view of the lake, right on San Pedro Volcano, super quiet, surrounded by nature , had a very peaceful and restful vacation here. San Pedro has great nightlife and good restaurants. Casa Lobo is perfect for resting, reading books, sleeping with the window open. Comfortable beds, everything is new, very safe, the owner himself is always there for anything you need. Awesome

This was one of my favorite stays at the lake. Such a beautiful property with owner onsite management that was very friendly and helpful. The property is quiet, great internet as I had to work there a few days and take zoom calls. It was comfortable with plenty of amenities. A beautiful outdoor kitchen. My stay was in their accommodation that was apartment style. It had everything you need and felt like a home away from home. It certainly will not be my last time staying there! If you are considering it, just book it, you won't regret it!

Very nice accommodation, quiet and positive atmosphere with attention for details. I stayed in the dorm, it's on of the most comfortable and clean ones on the lake. The host is communicative and friendly. The kitchen is a big plus, perfect for cooking with 2-3 people.

I would really love to give a five star for Lobo casa unfortunately after two nights of cold shower (their water heater is solar powered based) that means if the day is cloudy or raining, there won't be any hot/warm shower water, we tried to shower in the morning, cold water, we tried at night, cold water, and afternoon, you get warm water at best so we are always shivering, it wasn't fun at all taking cold shower. (minus one star there) internet is spotty, didn't work first day, second and third day works fine but you can see our disappointment there (minus one star there) and there are construction site next to the property (they started working 630 am) so we couldn't really sleep in (minus another star there) although it wasn't their fault, they also have construction on their own site, it didn't really bother us but it just doesn't feel as relax having construction sound throughout the day. (minus another star) infinity pool is amazing BUT the girls in our group, they couldn't swim and take advantage because it's again, also solar powered Thermo monitored, so the pool water is also too cold to really enjoy the infinity pool. The host is great, communicate well, prompt to all response and inquiry but unfortunately for us, we left disappointed since hot shower, internet and a good night rest is the bare minimum for all vacation rental.

Casa Lobo is truly an oasis. This was our group’s first time to San Pedro la Laguna, and I’m sure our trip wouldn’t have been the same if we had stayed anywhere else! We stayed in Torre 2 which comfortably slept five people (one king bed, one queen, and one decently sized couch bed which actually slept more like a twin/single). The private patio on the second floor was wonderful, but the rooftop deck we shared with Torre 1 sealed the deal for us. We loved spending mornings, days, and nights laying on the hammocks, taking in the views and sounds of nature, and watching thunderstorms roll by at night. And even though the rooftop space was shared, we never ran into anyone else up there. The loft area which housed the king bed was beautifully decorated and smelled wonderfully of wood, which we loved. It had a large area with a couch and tv (which has Netflix!) which was great for hanging out indoors. The bottom floor had a kitchenette which had mostly everything we needed, even a corkscrew. We did have to initially purchase our own dish soap from town, but eventually housekeeping brought us some. I would also recommend stocking the bathrooms with additional toilet paper as we also had to purchase our own from a tienda when we couldn’t find anyone to provide some additional rolls when we ran out, but this wasn’t a huge issue by any means. Our group loved the covered communal lounge area and the gorgeous infinity pool with an amazing view! It was so serene and the spot received a perfect amount of sun during the day. I also really appreciated the way Casa Lobo handled drink purchases- grab what you need from the fridge, mark what you take, and pay at the end of your stay. So easy and convenient. And the grounds were excellently manicured, lush green vegetation and fruit trees everywhere you look. Casa Lobo’a location was also ideal, only about a 15-20 minute walk from the main part of town and was very safe to walk at night. It was nice to be farther away from the action to take in the peace and quiet. For a quick jaunt into town we paid between 5-10q for a tuktuk, depending on how many people were in our group at the time (3+ people we could usually negotiate 5q per person). Lobo himself was an excellent host and was able to provide advice and recommendations on things to do in the area, safety, and fair pricing for things like boats. He is a part of the San Pedro community, and it is easy to see how much he cares for Atitlán and it’s residents. I will definitely be back to San Pedro someday and will definitely be staying here again.

Casa Lobo it’s the place that I really recommend to you.. it just takes 5 min to get there from the center to Casa Lobo you get there by a tuc-tuc actually. I was two days in the dorm room with a direct access to the pool, the dorm room was very clean with a large bathroom. The staff was very friendly and welcoming so that’s why I really recommend to you

This place is superb! Everything is done with soul and care, the owner shows sensitivity and hospitality. Very intelligent and thoughtful. If we find ourselves in San Pedro again, we will definitely check in at Casa Lobo

We dindn't like the place. It's not what we expected. No hot water to take a shower, the pool was freezing. Not very clean. It far from town. The ilumination of the house was poor, especially the bathroom.

This is located in an extremely inconvenient part of town. The website says it should cost Q5 per person for the tuk-tuks to take you places but every tuk tuk we spoke to refused to take us back from downtown for less that Q10 per person and they wanted to charge us Q15 per person a lot of the time. The drapes were dirty, and the entire room felt super musty and unclean. There was no soap on the sink - just a bottle of soap attached to the shower wall with no shampoo or conditioner that we were told to reach out into the shower and use when we needed to wash our hands. Everything at this hotel you had to pay extra for and there was a sign (and an email sent prior to check-in) advising that people shouldn't bring drinks from outside (water, soda, wine) - absurd! There was a sauna we had to pay extra to use - say what? The young man working the reception desk was very nice but we felt we didn't get any help from the staff when it came to calling tuk-tuks, recommending anything, helping us book anything or being present. I reached out to them via WhatsApp 3 times and they only addressed one of my questions after 3 hours of waiting. All in all, I would really not recommend this place due to its cleanliness (or lack thereof) and its poor location - it's a major logistical hassle to get anywhere since walking back is not safe.

Response from , Inhaber at Casa Lobo Bungalows
Responded Jul 29, 2021
We appreciate every constructive review. First public transportation tuc tuc and taxi are not part of Casa Lobo. We give our guest clear information about the regular price. The rooms are provided with body soap and shampoo witch you can find at the sink and also at the shower. Cleanliness is very important to us. The owner checks every bungalow personally before a guest arrives. Drinking water are free of charge at every room. Its standard at any hotel to not allow bring drinks from outside. We offer drinks to very reasonable price. This guest did a discounted non refundable and non changeable booking . All the necessary information (cancellation and terms etc.) was provided on our website and during the booking process. This guest confirmed our conditions. Before arrival he was requesting to change his reservation and was asking for refund witch we declined. Finally we would like to say that CASA LOBO does not give refunds to avert unfair reviews.
