This hotel is a one of a kind hotel. I have spend many nights in different hotels/hostels around the world and must say this is one that will always stay in my memory. The hotel is very private and built into the rock face. Absolutely stunning surroundings, views and the landscaping is just incredible. There is multiple terraces to chill... More

Unfortunately for me, the only thing this hotel offered was the views. As we checked in a storm hit. We weren't offered umbrellas going to our rooms and instead got saturated. An hour later the power went out until the following morning. At no point did anyone come to our rooms to let us know what was happening. We had... More

Have been here several times and always found it to be enjoyable-- good food, amazing smoothies, splendid views... I also really appreciate the history of the place. however I realize that the restaurant and its amenities is not suited for many groups. It gets crowded and the staff seem easily stressed. As some other reviews have noted, some of the... More

We came here 3 years ago on our first trip to Guatemala. Took a boat ride from Pana to have lunch at the cafe. The most beautiful views you will ever see. We made a point to return this year for lunch again. Have yet to stay the night but that is definitely on the bucket list. The natural pools... More

We stayed in room 5, which was absolutely amazing. The food is terrific, the views are magical, and resting in one of the numerous hammocks on the pristine property is maybe the best thing you will do while in Guatemala. The place is perfectly secluded and quiet. We also found snorkeling by the underwater balconies to be super exciting! If... More

We booked this hotel after climbing Volcán Acatenango as a little reward to ourselves. It's probably the most beautiful hotel we saw on the lake. Views of the two opposite volcanoes are astonishing. The hotel gives you free use of a canoe for an hour to explore the lake. We are the family style dinner in the evening which was... More

My fiancé and I did an impromptu day trip and got on the first boat that left from 'Pana'. We got off at the first stop, Santa Cruz, and decided to take the scenic trek to Jaibalito. We followed the, at times, misleading path until we thought we got lost, the views were well worth it though and sunshine was... More

Fabulous views over Lake Atitlan, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was fabulous. Not at all overpriced despite the fact that they have a captive audience, only accessible by boat. Room wasn't expensive but had a most fantastic view. Great for a couple of nights relaxing. Lovely walks.

We went to Casa del Mundo for the afternoon. We took a boat ride over to the restaurant and hotel. Casa del Mundo is a wonderful place to explore, with stairs that lead up to the restaurant. Sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake. We enjoyed a delicious brunch. Some of the kids from our group went... More

This is a do-not-miss for any trip to the lake. The attention to detail here is phenomenal- from the architecture and immaculate grounds to the rooms and the service. We also really enjoyed breakfast on the patio and the communal suppers by candlelight. The staff here really do go the extra mile at every opportunity as well. Despite wowing us... More
