We loved this wonderful boutique hotel with individual secluded cabins! Best view of Drake Bay with field below for exceptional bird viewing! Our host picked up at the boat and took care of anything we asked - all while giving us complete privacy. Just an excellent place! Will always stay here when visiting Drake Bay!

We had organised our tour through Pacheco as they were recommended through a friend - they didn’t disappoint! So we thought we would stay there too as it was a really good price . Erick was so helpful from start to finish - wish we could have stayed longer . The location is perfect with a beautiful view overlooking the bay . Loads of iguanas around the balcony ! Rooms were super clean and spacious .

I had stayed in Drake Bay last year around the same time and this year, knowing where things were, was able to make reservations here. What a world of difference! Close to the beach, but not noisy, refrigerator in the room, a/c just in case I needed it, and a truly private bathroom in the room! And the icing on the cake - an amazing view! The macaws flying by - wow! They picked me up at the airport and handled my reservations for snorkeling and corcovado. Amazing place - I will always stay here and recommend that anyone I know traveling to drake bay do the same!

Poor Erick! Our flight from the US to Costa Rica was canceled 4 hours prior to departure. It took two more days for us to arrive in Costa Rica-much to our chagrin and disappointment. Erick tolerated panicked phone calls from us as we found ourself in several binds that I won’t bother you with here. We finally arrived on Christmas Eve (though we still lost two days in Bahia Drake and with Pacheco Cabins). We did not immediately meet Erick, but met his absolutely adorable girlfriend who welcomed us very warmly on the beach. We had gone through so much getting there and she was such a delight after a spectacular beach landing! We were a bit frazzled but She got us settled right in and then we were finally able to breathe in Bahia Drake! She recommended a great place for us to get dinner (and it was great, we went 3 times), calling to ensure they had availability since it was Christmas Eve. The rooms have a wonderful view, are peaceful and have everything you need. We enjoyed spending the evenings on the porch chilling with some beers and listening to the waves after a tour and some dinner. The room was very clean, the air conditioning a nice retreat and warm water for a shower was not a problem if you don’t turn the water on high. We were very close to restaurants and grocery stores and the fridge in the room was super helpful. When we finally met Erick after the holiday he was super polite and helpful and we couldn’t help but be super thankful that he helped us through such a crazy shift of plans over the phone prior to our arrival (change of tours, etc). And the people of Bahia Drake are probably some of the warmest Ticos that we have met! We would definitely come back to Bahia Drake and Pacheco Cabins/tours! The tours that we took to Corcovado and Caño island were great! The only recommendations that we have are as follows: we were given a helpful but simple map. Because we lost two days of exploring due to our flight debacle, a more detailed map of beach trails, restaurants would’ve been awesome in order to save us ‘exploring time.’ Finally, we opted to pay for breakfast (which was REALLY good) but missed it the first morning because we were not told it was served down the road on the beach by a separate restaurant near where the boat tours depart. A simple note on the map would’ve solved this conundrum for us since we were signed up for breakfast, but just due to the pace of check in, that detail was somehow left out. The situation was rectified that afternoon and we enjoyed an outstanding breakfast every morning after that. Pacheco Cabins is an excellent value, is close to everything and the view is unbeatable in Central Bahia Drake. The service is great, but relaxed. Thank you Erick and staff for everything!
