Jaguar's Jungle is entirely off the grid and the perfect place to base your adventures around Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. JJ is bordering the Corcovado National Park. This adventure begins by boat unless you have the nerve to break in your hiking boots by the 20+km walk from Drake’s Bay which will take half a day because there aren’t any...

I was super excited to spend 5 days at this location, based on all of the 5 star reviews. The pictures on tripadvisor are a little misleading to say the least. In the first picture, you see a nice airy room with 4 bunk beds. That room actually has 4 bunk beds per side of the room. Our room had...

Pros - Very remote, beautiful scenery and views. Cons - wifi access seems to be given to only certain people. This was an issue as I explained I needed to be in contact with my family since I had a family member in the hospital. No consistency in paying for items, example: I was asked to pay for a snorkelling...

Best hostel I have ever visited, planned on staying for one week and stayed for two weeks! Fresh fish almost everyday and that Lay-o guy is awesome! Saw a wide variety of animals daily: toucans, macaws, monkeys, possums, bats, coatis, tapirs and hundreds of hermit crabs. Eco-friendly jungle paradise well worth the incredibly reasonable price!

Jungle del Jaguar Hostel is a whole pile of diamonds in the jungle's beautiful rough. I have never stayed at a hostel anything like this. The location is stunning, right on the beach, surrounded by jungle with miles of hiking trails, including routes to a tide pool, a beautiful and expansive beach, and sea caves. I would have expected to...

Location is incredible. Very authentic Experience. Probably the closest thing to camping in the jungle as you can get. Machetes lying around if you want to cut open your own coconut. A beautiful rustic main cabin with yoga studio on top. Two wild horses live on the property and Fresh fish caught daily. It would be almost perfect in my...

I loved to stay here! Waking up to the sound of the waves, just amazing! I really enjoyed the fact that there was no electricity or wifi, it gave the place some extra charm: as if you were super far from civilization. The girls who were volunteering there were also super nice, it felt like a second home! :)

There are not enough words to describe how incredible this place is. Horses roam the yard along with scarlet macaws and your dorm is shared with bats and butterflies. The Pacific lulls you to sleep after you hike the sea caves and jungle trails leading away from the property. The volunteers there were incredibly nice and fixed better meals than...

The Jaguar's Jungle is the perfect place if you are looking for space, beautiful beaches, scenic hiking, and a good dose of adventure. I spent the past three weeks volunteering at this stunning location and this has to be one of the most spectacular experiences I've had yet. Leo goes out of his way to make sure the guests are...

The Jungla is a unique place far away from the tourist traps where you can see all the wildlife in the osa peninsula without a tour guide. It's totally secluded and the best place to escape from the rest of the world. You can see whales right from the beach in front of the hostel and wake up to the...
