There are many good things to say about this hotel. The hiking trail leading South offers many opportunities to see great wildlife like monkeys and birds. Drake Bay puts you within a boat ride of Corcovado National Park, which was a wonderful experience (the boat ride can be choppy, so pick your days). The Bug Lady night walk was outstanding,...

You never know when you book on the web what some place will really be like. We landed with our meager 25 pounds of luggage (tiny plane) on an airstrip with only a windsock and a fire extinguisher. My husband gave me that "you've really done it this time" look. A Jeep pulls up and we were off on a...

We spent 17 days in Costa Rica but Jinetes de Osa was our absolute favorite. We spent 6 days at this location & were very sad to leave. They provided excellent tours with amazing guides. Rolando & his brother were determined to find as much wildlife as possible while sharing information about the area. In Corcovado among other things we...

Jinetes de Osa is an unspoiled lodge with good food and excellent service in an outstanding location. Owner Greg is an expat who has been running the lodge for the last 11 years and his experience shows in his choice of friendly staff and knowledgeable guides. The fresh bread at every family-style meal is a big plus for hungry people...

Just got back from 6 glorious days and nights at Jinetes de Osa, and had the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacation we've had in years. Everything about our stay was perfect for us. The staff was attentive and responsive, but never in the way; the meals were fresh and delicious; our fellow guests were easygoing and interesting, which made the...

Our stay in Drake Bay exceeded our expectations. The area is wonderful and the staff, especially Alexis, made sure that all our needs were met. This is great place to stay and relax, away from the crowds, as long as you are not expecting 5 star luxury!

Jinetes is really a pearl on the peninsula! Simple clean rooms, and great staff that helps you with all your tour bookings, flights, accommodation elsewhere in Costa Rica etc. They have a great bar (people from other hotels drop by as well after a day of activities, so great sharing a beer and the stories of the day) with a...

Drake Bay is a wonderful location, full of wildlife and still quite remote. Jinetes de Osa had friendly staff, great meals, good tours, and clean simple rooms. The only problem was their lack of communication with each other, and lack of organization. When we arrived, they did not know we were coming, even though numerous emails had been sent to...

We had a blast in osa and in Jinetes. In 5 days we did a canopy tour, Scuba Dive, Hiked and saw the animals in the rainforest. Hiked to a secluded beach. the hotel is clean and decent. The staff are warm and friendly. My only complaint was there are rooms that have communal bathrooms. While we were there there...

I spent 9 nights at the Jinetes de Osa Hotel with my 3 year old daughter. We really enjoyed our stay. The food was good and plenty of it. We love family style. The staff accomidated the needs of my daughter extremely well as it is not often that they have small children as guests. We enjoyed that the views...
