Everything was taken care of and we had an amazing stay at Jinetes de Osa Hotel. I brought my stress and anxiety around planning the trips details and concerns regarding the various excursions the hotel provided. The hotel and their staff took care of everything in a calm and yet responsive way and helped me to remove this baggage I... More

Low key service of a high standard that is pitched just right for a mellow holiday. The sounds of monkeys and birds can clearly be heard in the dawn chorus - as long as the sound of the waves lapping on the shore is not too loud.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in a Superior room. The management was great, the staff was friendly, the activities were fun and easy to set up, although the dive-op was very unsafe. The rooms are pretty basic, but seeing as most options in Drake Bay are either hostels or $500/night, this place is a solid budget... More

" The staff we worked with were terrific (they were very helpful in accommodating my husband who got sick the night before we had to leave). And in general were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant offered a nice breakfast, however the other meals were middle of the road. The rooms were lovely (even with 185 steps to get to them).... More

We enjoyed our stay at Jinetes de Osa in January. The accommodations are very comfortable and take the form of a series of cottages. Our cottage was a significant walk up the hill. We didn't mind at all but anyone with mobility or health challenges should be sure to book a cottage that is at the bottom of the hill.... More

Stayed in 2 rooms: 1) First in the standard rooms near reception. Good location: close to breakfast and with sea views, but basic. Good shower, but only lukewarm water (not a problem with the 35-40 degree heat outside). No air conditioning. Mattress on wooden boards (noisy and not very comfortable), uncomfortable pillow (foam and high). 2) Second in the new... More

We vacationed at Drake Bay for 7 days in February and stayed at this hotel for that duration. The location of the hotel is great (for the remote area). The hotel starts the self guided trails to several beautiful beaches. Our favorite was San Josesito, but definitely a trek getting there, especially since we were lugging around a 25 lb... More

This isn't just a hotel. The wonderful people at Jinetes provided us with a cute, comfortable room with the sound of waves nearby, arranged all of our excursions, and provided delicious food and cold beer. When we decided to stay in the jungle one night, they kept our luggage and let us shower when we got back at 2 pm,... More

Staff very very nice. Rustic rooms with no ac. Very poor wifi but that's not what you're here for. Sign in bathrooms requests you, for the sake of their septic tank, don't put ANY?! paper in the toilets. The chef at the Retaurant is outstanding. I was one of the first to have the steak with chocolate sauce with sliced... More
