This is a stunning ecolodge property. Around 15 rooms. They take great care of you from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart-- helping plan all your activities. The meals are served communally in a great dining area. The rooms are nice-- it's a fairly strenuous hike from the dining area, but great views. The reason I didn't...

I think that we may have had too high expectations of this place. The location must have been fantastic, before the tourists started to arrive. Nowadays we find the whole Drake Bay experience underwhelming. This is because the hotels seem to have increased in number but the walks where you can go have remained the same. We booked this hotel...

Like many other guest, we found the steps up to our lodge to be quite hard going even though we were closest to reception. However, the atmosphere more than made up for it and it was lovely to meet other people at meal times although this was not to everyone's taste which we thought was a shame. Mike was so...

Aguila de Osa was not exactly what we expected in that it is not as remote as we thought and the kayaking possibilities were limited . The Inn is beautiful and in a lovely position with great views of Drake Bay and has a fabulous bar in the main building, We think we had the best room, number one, but,...

Our reason to visit Costa Rica was to dive and to hike in the rainforest in Corcovado National Park, and we chose this place as a base to perform these activities. The hotel’s management organised overnight stay in the capitol before final domestic flight, the flight itself and pickup at the airport, including short boat transfer, and all activities. The...

We started our Costa Rica adventure here which put the bar pretty high. Loved the gorgeous bungalow from which we woke up to the thrilling sound of howler monkeys! Food was delicious and fresh. Really enjoyed the people we met at the communal dining tables and cocktail hour. Very professionally run considering it's so remote. The hike that we took...

There are lots of places that claim to offer the eco-luxury experience, but few really deliver the way that Aguila de Osa does. Our family of five (three kids, ages 8, 10 and 12) stayed for three days and three nights, and this was absolutely the highlight of our ten days in Costa Rica. If you want to get away...

I can not say enough good things about this resort, Every single person that works there was warm and welcoming from the owner Bradd to the gardeners. Speaking of the gardens I spent one half of a day just admiring and photographing the gardens and grounds in general. Everyday was a fantastic adventure for us. Meals prepared by Dixon can...

I loved this place. Wake up in the morning to a delicious breakfast, head off for your destination for the day (perhaps a guided tour in Corcovado) or snorkeling (or scuba) or birding or fishing, and then come back to choose your delicious meal for dinner (always with an option of fresh fish possibly caught by one of the guests)....

We stayed three days and nights at this charming inn. While this inn (and indeed the Osa Peninsula) is not for everyone, it was wonderful for us. Probably of of my favorite places to stay. First, this an eco-lodge, where you leave A/C and TV far behind. But it a lovely, high-end eco lodge. Indeed, you arrive at the inn...
