booked this place for the views-expected a cabina with unobstructed views of the water but had one with palm trees to look through onto the water. Would have been nice to be met at the ferry boat to help with my luggage, I was met half way up the stairs (which as others have posted-there are many), so that did...

These are fairly basic budget cabin rooms but were clean and tidy. We had aircon in our room which was,a relief as the tin roof makes it very hot!!! Our water went off one day but was soon fixed. There is a bit of a walk up steps to the hotel so bear that in mind. The rooms with sea...

Nestled atop the road leading to the Pacific, Las Contingas is a haven. Approachable by water taxi or small plane it's open air common areas allow guests to sit and chill or start up conversation with a fellow traveler. Mauricio, the proprietor, does a great job serving up an amazing breakfast while overlooking the Pacific in the jungle atmosphere you...

Stayed here Xmas 2016 & had a great stay. Well priced, awesome views, nice clean rooms and a great breakfast. Highly recommended staying here for the price range. No lunch or evening meals but plenty of options close by.

The hotel is placed on a hill side at the beach, and we were lucky to get a room with a nice terrace overlooking the beautifull bay. The breakfast was nice and the staff very helpfull. Very good value at a great spot in interesting Drake Bay.

An off-the-charts delightful stay in beautiful Drake Bay. Great rooms, inspiring views, a great value, helpful fun staff and a launching point to El Corcovado National Park. Breakfast in the treetops. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay (if you can handle the 100 steps up to the room from the road (no escalator here). I'd highly recommend...

Nice view and good housing, but we were disappointed about the bill when we left : it did not correspond to the price agreed before ($100 instead of $80). We did a snorkeling tour to caño island which was nice but still expensive, as most of the other activities.

Great location in the center of Drake (literally 2 minutes from the main beach - which is not too pretty though), great ocean view from on-site restaurant, clean and comfortable cabin that was cleaned daily. Staff was okay and helpfull too, especially upon checkout when they arranged our transport back to San Jose (at normal costs). While we did spot...

A beautiful little resort in a very funky little community, but be prepared for a long hike up stairs. Rooms are situated in such a way that there is a lot of privacy, has a beautiful outdoor breakfast area overlooking the ocean. We stayed in the highest level room and LOVED IT. Be aware that not all rooms have AC...
