Even though my husband was cursing me as we first arrived, almost in the dark and a 20 minute walk along the path to Guaria (best to take the earlier boat), 5 days later he declared, " I am changed." Indeed, we all were by this special place in a tropical, rugged paradise. It's pure magic, from the gracefully and...

I first heard of Guaria de Osa years ago from my friend who came for a 10-day retreat, and everything he said was right! This is paradise... From the handcrafted eco-friendly lodging, abundant wildlife (monkeys, macaws and all), 5-star organic meals, warm pacific ocean, flowering flora and amazing staff - this was a dream come true. This is the safest...

This place truly is paradise. I received rest and healing here that I didn't even know I needed. All the benefits of the wild and living jungle but right next to what feels like a private beach paradise. The wind from the ocean keeps the bugs at bay. Yes, you heard me right, the jungle without bugs. It does exist...

We stayed at Guaria for about a week during spring break. If you like isolation and quiet, this is the place. The food was absolutely excellent, and the hospitality by the staff was great. Our cabin was very spacious and clean. We saw tons of birds, lizards and primates right at Guaria. While we planned several trips in the area...

The place is very well located, close to the beach and Corcovado national Park, therefore nature will always be present around the hotel, monkeys, toucans, parrots, and pizotes just to mention some of the creatures that approach to the place. I totally recommend this place to those who really want to be in nature in one of the wildest places...

My husband and I actually run our own little eco boutique retreat in Dominical, but were looking to unplug and go deep into the jungle for our anniversary. Guaria de Osa really gave us just what we were looking for! We stayed in one of the cabinas with a hammock on the deck overlooking the trees and ocean... the monkeys...

Dear Sofiah, Thank you so much for coming to Guaria de Osa! We are so happy you had a great time and so excited about working together to show your guests an amazing time on the Osa. The story about the cat is out of control! Do you know what kind of cat it was? I can't wait to ask...

We visited in July '16 with our 8-year-old daughter, and it couldn't have been a more life-changing experience. The Osa Peninsula is magical, and definitely off the beaten track. Ladna and Dahlia were terrific in helping us plan the logistics for our visit -- my advice: just know that you are in their capable hands. They organized not just getting...

I already cant wait to return to Guaria. In addition to everything else I loved about being there, the staff are now like family. It's a new home away from home. Walks along the beach, hiking, snorkeling, surfing, and daily morning yoga.

Guaria is a perfect home base for exploring all the amazing nature and wildlife that the Osa Peninsula has to offer. Accommodations are rustic but clean and comfortable with all you need. The common areas and grounds are beautiful and the service from team Guaria is outstanding, including consistently fine meals by Alexandra. The owner, Jonathan, is a published expert...

Beautiful ocean side cabin to myself. The waves were beautifully audible and the breeze refreshing. Every night I could enjoy the sunset from my porch hammock.
