We stayed for three days in the bamboo-hut, was great! Surrounded by forest and plants, nice and quiet - apart from howler monkeys :) - yet close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket. Olman is a very friendly and welcoming host who picked us up at the beach at arrival, introduced us to the area and made reservations for dive trip and Corcovado. Chill and familiar atmosphere in the outdoor kitchen and living room, with hammocks and a mini-library. Thanks!

We spent a week at Mohagine, 6 nights in a cabin and one night in a tent. Everything about Mohagine was excellent. It is quiet, peaceful, very clean and well run. There are beautiful plants and lots of birds on the grounds, as well as a nice trail through the forest. We saw agouti almost every morning. It was really nice to be able to store food in the kitchen and cook meals when we wanted to. It was especially convenient to be able to prepare breakfast when we had early morning departures. Onmal was very helpful with tour bookings and we booked most of our tours through him. He was knowledgeable about the different tours and has many good connections with local tour operators. I would highly recommend Mohagine if you are visiting Drake Bay.

Literally a piece of paradise. Heaven of tranquility. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You feel like you sleep in the middle of the jungle. Eat your breakfast with blue morphos and watch the monkeys. Highly recommended Rémi, Marie, Charlie et Émile

Where to start.....we were met from the boat by the lovely Christina who walked us back to the Mohagine. Christina is such an asset to this Hostel as she is so knowledgeable, lovely, helpful and fluent in English and Spanish. The kitchen was organized with separate containers marked with your room name for the fridge and kitchen (so not the usual food left behind as no one knows if the food in the fridge is from people who have left or are still here. The facilities were clean and we were offered our rooms to be cleaned every day - which I find very unusual for hostels. Olman is the Manager and a lovely helpful, kind gentleman, also fluent in English and Spanish. Also super helpful with anything we needed - transfers, recommendations, advice. Thanks Olman and Christina and your lovely staff for making our stay so welcoming and pleasurable!

We were at Mohagine for two nights, with an overnight tour to Corcovado in between. Mohagine is a very nice place in Drake Bay. We slept in a tent on a platform, with the jungle around us (they also have cabines). It was really beautiful and calm. The hosts (Cristina and Dani) are very friendly and want to help you with everything. Drake Bay is cosy. If you stay in Drake Bay, Mohagine is a very good choice!
