Enjoyable space, extremely poor communication and follow through. I was excited to go to Danyasa after a close friend (who is related to the owner's wife) recommended me to them. After confirming Brendan was available, I planned a trip out of my way to meet with him to discuss retreats and events. To make a long story short he stood me up, twice, without letting me know prior to, or even AT, our meeting time. He simply chose to not show up or let me know he wasn't going to. I could have done other things with my time (and money) had he been honest about his availability. The mid day meeting times we arranged meant that I also couldn't do other local activities. I'm sure he's better with other people, otherwise they wouldn't have such a highly rated business, but I would never consider returning, and definitely wouldn't host a retreat there. The owner also neglected to reserve a room for me (that he offered) and I was forced to stay elsewhere for a night and move hotels, at my expense. All that aside, the staff I met were lovely, Paola, Ata, Kassie, Rachel and Dani. The yoga studio and instructors were nice, I enjoyed the lush aesthetic and didn't mind the small rooms or pricing. I would love to support their business but after being treated so poorly I cannot.

This place is absolutely magical. You should consider it if you want a peaceful stay with easy access to basic amenities, such as the beach or local bars. The food that the staff cooked was amazing. The staff were very welcoming.

This is a quaint and friendly place to stay. The twice daily yoga classes were varied and excellent. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is delicious. The pool with waterfalls were relaxing. I missed having a place to buy snacks or a drink without leaving the premise, but there are a lot of options in Dominical.

We have initially booked this just as a place to stay while some of us went for a dive in Uvita. It ended up being so perfect, for even more friends in the group. Some did yoga classes, and we all enjoyed some time in the pool. We also all enjoyed the use of the yoga studio in the open time, as a wonderful dance studio. The location was lovely- close to food and the beach. We even enquired about staying longer, although we had another space already rented. The breakfast was great, and we were very thankful for accommodating our early morning needs (breakfast was made to go!) Excellent all around!

A place like no other… container rooms are small but oh so charming and clean, well equiped, showers perfect, breakfast is yummy, all the place is so peaceful and beautiful. Yoga classes we had there with different instructors were awesome. We extended our stay in Danyasa cause we felt at home with their great team : Prune is a gem (from teaching yoga class to giving advice on surf spots or restaurants, she was very available to help us) and we had the chance to taste Nicole’s AMAZING food (she’s a magician). Overall I feel it’s a bit expensive - but worth it, we had a great time and took a wonderful break !

This place is pura vida! Lots of available yoga classes and a great location central to many things on the pacific coast make this an excellent option for solo travelers who want to meet other travelers and connect with themselves and their yoga practice. The food they offer is excellent and the general vibe is welcoming and fun. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique visit to costa rica. It was also very affordable and the people working there took an active interest in my enjoyment, including making covid testing and transport easier.

This was the first time that Danyasa was used for hosting 24 women with the school. The accommodations were a tight fit and there were three people to a room or should I say container. We had a private chef cooking vegan meal so that was exceptional. We did run out of food a few times. Laundry is an additional fee. The location is in the middle of the town and it is extremely noisy and there was construction happening all over the place the entire time of our stay. The yoga shala is exceptional and is a great place for yoga classes. The staff were extremely helpful with everything we needed to do for excursions, getting to the airport and organizing all of our needs. It was my first time to Costa Rica and my first time to Danyasa so I would definitely say it’s worth a stay!

Danyasa has a soothing atmosphere that matches its vibe. It’s quiet, surrounded by trees and has friendly staff. The rooms are very cool containers with adjoined bathrooms - they’re a bit small but there are other places to sit around the retreat. The breakfast was great and the yoga class i attended was AMAZING!! If you’re looking for a serene yoga spot or a place near the beach this place is awesome!

Danyasa resort is absolutely gorgeous! Sofia and Brendan have put their hearts into everything you see when you are there. They have thought of EVERYTHING! It’s a beautiful natural resort! Everything is green and lush and beautiful! There is beauty around every corner. The staff is like family, so helpful and kind, they want you to enjoy every moment. You feel as though you are truly in paradise when you are there. Comfort is everything and natural beauty is everywhere you look. The raised yoga studio is so amazingly beautiful with natural walls and netting instead of windows- so you feel like you’re a part of nature while attending classes. The boutique carriers beautiful jewelry and unique clothing that is very sophisticated and beautiful. There are plenty of books to read. The food is freshly prepared, healthy and lovely! I miss it so much! It really felt like home when I arrived and I was sad to leave. I know I will return. I highly recommend Danyasa retreat yoga resort to anyone staying in Dominical- it truly is THE best place in town. You will be so happy you came to stay, you’ll never want to leave. Truly a gem! Thank you Danyasa ✨💚✨!!

The location, amenities, hospitality and space combined for an exquisite accommodation experience. The room was what I needed but what I loved was the outdoor shower! Cozy-comfort environment with intentional peaceful beauty all around. Designed with nature built into the plan to create an outdoor living feel.
