We cannot say enough about how comfortable safe clean majestic and cozy our stay was at Danyasa Eco retreat. We are young family with two small children and felt completely safe and taken care of during our entire trip. The rooms are comfortable clean and bright everything you need and perfect communal lounge areas to spread out. In combination with the daily yoga classes and the delicious local breakfast options of fresh fruit or the local plate made this one of our best vacations ever. Oh and the lovely staff who were available seemingly at all hours to help with even the smallest of needs. We had a blast. Short walk to the ocean close to all the restaurants.

I am finding myself at a loss for words to describe my experience at Danyasa. It is modern and clean, without lacking any charm, energy, ambience, and TRULY unique and special vibes. I had a gorgeous little room that was everything I needed - tons of shelving, AC, comfortable bed, and a magical private outdoor bathroom. The common areas feel like your own living room, and in the morning there is a full complimentary hot Tico breakfast, as well as a coffee, and a bar with fruit and oats and nuts. The property is LUSH with gorgeous plants and trees and flowers, and it has the feeling of magical tree house. I left Danyasa feeling completely full of joy and feeling so empowered. I am a 33 year old single woman, and have been traveling all over the globe my whole life with and without friends and family and partners, but my most special trips have been those where I've traveled by myself, something ive been doing for fifteen years. In all that time, this was my most favorite place I have EVER stayed as a solo traveler. I am counting down the months until I can come back!

I stayed here alone but would definitely recommend it for couples. I had a HUGE bed in my lovely private cabin with outdoor-ish shower. Having yoga onsite was a great perk. The staff were SO so kind and helpful - absolutely bags of advice on local (and even not that local) knowledge plus also, I was ill one night and one of the girls came and knocked on my door to check I was OK and then went and filled my water bottle up for me, which was just such a lovely touch when I was staying somewhere alone. Breakfast was DELICIOUS; coffee and tea and water available all the time. And the place itself is as stunning as it looks in the pictures, I promise you. In terms of nearby activities, I would recommend going to Nauyaca waterfalls - I originally thought I could walk to the falls and then do the hike within the grounds but soon realised it would be a long, hot walk up the side of a main road and therefore really not very pleasant! The hike itself to the falls was plenty (and beautiful) - though be aware the buses back are not very often so you essentially have to stay there all day. (Or go at ~6am and come back at noon). The sunsets on the beach were beautiful. The yoga classes were great. I also went for a run along the river followed by a very welcome dip in the pool.
