Spent a night here on the drive down to Corcovado. Glad we did, as it has a lovely quiet setting up the mountain, rich with resident Chestnut-mandibled toucans. In fact, we got up early to walk around the local area and saw 15 toucans - the best views we had of these stunning birds anywhere in Costa Rica. The room...

We stayed for two nights and couldn't fault it. The rooms were tastefully done with a lovely finish, Troy and Becky were great (and came to our aid when we needed help with a jungle critter) and the homemade breakfast items were fab. Lovely to sit outside and have breakfast surrounded by the sounds of the forest. We didn't have...

Quality time in this wonderful getaway. Romantic private cabins inside the rainforest, designed beautifully! You can see that every little detail was thought of. The shower is really special we loved it. Big windows with nets so you can see the forest's life from inside the room. At the end of the day you can relax in bed with a...

The bungalows are lovely and feel private as there are only three, which are separated from each other. Becky and Troy who owns the place are very friendly and helpful, both through email before your stay in case you have questions or want to book something, but they are also very sweet and helpful when you are there. Breakfast consists...

I am unsure I how begin to verbalize how WONDERFUL La Tierra was for my husband and I! We had such a romantic and wonderful experience and cannot wait to return. Dominical is a lovely surf town about 10 mins away from La Tierra, filled with street markets, surfing and wonderful beaches! The owners of La Tierra, were not only...

A lovely, secluded location - perfect for couples! Breathtaking view, good food, and submerged in nature. Comfortable and clean accommodations. Friendly and helpful proprietors! We cannot say enough good about this place. The road up is a bit of a challenge - make sure you have a vehicle capable of handling dirt roads.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Tierra Divina is one of the most exquisite places to stay in the south pacific region of Costa Rica. Unlike most B&B's, La Tierra Divina is unique in that it offers separate, round shaped cabinas in which you will enjoy the privacy and beauty of nature that envelopes the property. You will also enjoy the daily gourmet breakfast that is served on your private balcony each morning. We are located about 3 hours from San Jose, and only minutes from the beach. There are two different types of cabinas to choose from. The first one is our Ocean View Cabina which offers 360° views. You can see all the way to Manuel Antonio, as well as the never ending horizon across the beautiful Pacific ocean. It also provides magnificent views of the immense, dramatic jungle behind the property. The amenities of this cabina include a king size bed, flat screen LED TV with satellite, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, an in-room safe, private bathroom with hot water, as well as a small kitchenette which features a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The second type of cabina is the Jungle Immersion Cabina. There are two of these cabinas available, and they allow you to be surrounded by all of the elements of the natural jungle. You can hear the sound of the babbling quebrada (creek), while at the same time experience the spectacular view of the monkeys and toucans as they soar in the tree tops above. The amenities of this cabina include a queen size bed, flat screen LED TV with satellite, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, an in-room safe, private bathroom with hot water, as well as a small kitchenette which features a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. ... more   less
