I just spent a week on retreat at finca la vida and it was the most magical experience I’ve ever had. Jodi and Brian are the most caring and professional facilitators who truly know how to support their guests and staff with love and clear intentions. They are knowledgable about various practices and healing techniques and hire the best staff to support you in all modalities of healing during your retreat. Their farm is absolutely magnificent and offers something for everyone. The views are breathtaking and the vegetation is remarkable. Check out the amazing saba tree just beyond their greenhouse. There are hiking paths all around to waterfalls and rivers. Their chef prepares the best vegan food I’ve ever had that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. I truly can’t say enough about their farm and this beautiful couple who have devoted their lives to helping others heal and find genuine peace while you’re with them, and then helping you to sustain it when you have to leave. Wish I could have stayed forever !

WOW!!!! This place is THE BEST....... so good last year I had to come back for another visit , and plan on returning again. Everything from the staff to the spacious environment of the property, the views in the jungle and the symphony of nature. personal chef Ariana does an amazing job of preparing fresh, natural homemade meals filled with flavor and love. The beds are very comfortable, clean rooms etc. the owners are very kind and respectful . The property offers a wide variety of terrain .

I cannot say enough about this wonderful place . My first visit was in 2018 and I have never stopped thinking about my amazing retreat. I was finally able to return this year and I indulged myself with back to back retreats spend a total of two wonderful weeks there with the amazing staff and owners. The place has a way of maki g you feel right at home especially when you’re away from home. The food the grounds the people are so very healing and the way you come away is not how you were when you got there in a very good way. My 2 weeks there was like 20years of heaviness removed from my heart and soul ❤️. Definitely a place that I think everyone should experience and it is priced that way so affordable for what you get and the take away is priceless. I will look forward to visiting again next year and that is not soon enough.

This country (and especially The Farm of Life) has a different energy than the states. Costa Rica’s motto is Pura Vida “Pure Life”. It’s not just a phrase to say because it sounds nice.. this is truly a whole way of being and living that is an authentic part of the culture. From the time your plane lands at the airport to the time it takes off to bring you back home, everything slows down and a space it created to allow presence, wonder, connection to the earth, and to the other people around you on this journey. You can just “be”. I never realize how important this is and how much my soul needs that until I’m in it. With the hustle and bustle of life here, I don’t even realize how much I’m NOT living in the moment and how focusing so much on the future really impacts my level of stress. The Farm of Life is a true sanctuary, a safe place to fully surrender into myself and the absolute magic it is to be here on this planet. I tend to forget that life is truly beautiful and so full of amazing experiences only meant to evolve my soul. It doesn’t always feel like that and this place offers me a breathtaking reminder of the meaning of it all every single time. Everything I could ever need here is completely taken care of.. from the nourishing, healing, fresh and unbelievably delicious food grown right on the property (Brian and Jody have so much knowledge about the vegetation on their farm because they intentionally planted it all), to the amazing accommodations that are by far more comfortable than anything you’ll find this far into the jungle (super comfortable beds, flushing toilets and endless hot water.. for real). By far my favorite spot on the farm is the community dining hall. I can always find someone strumming on a guitar, a person to share a conversation with, to pick up a deck of tarots cards to pull from or a book that for some reason has the exact words I need to hear at that moment… all while enjoying a piece a fresh fruit from their trees or an herb tea in the crock pot from herbs that were freshly harvested multiple times that day. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the daily Yoga with Carmen Sanz, the massages with Jack, the sungazing instruction and farm tour with Brian, the forgiveness technologies and Qigong with Jody… soooooo much good for the soul and perfectly fits into the whole experience. The excursions and tours outside of the farm are just as enriching and healing… the beautiful waterfalls and hikes have their own energy that is completely palpable… just a dip in those sacred waters will enliven your spirit instantly. You are able to really feel that oneness that comes with being so close to nature. Words can’t do it justice to describe that feeling. Coming back to the states can be a little jarring for me in particular after such a truly grounding and healing experience. Every time I come back, I get a little closer to discovering what my joy is, my purpose, my way of living that I want for this life. So many realizations and epiphanies come when I am able to rest, reset, and re-center. I truly believe that everyone should do a retreat at least once a year. Traveling to cool places and vacations are fun, but when you unplug with intention, you’ll bring back far more than memories and awesome photos. You’ll bring back a connection to your highest self and nature that you realize has always been there. I said to Brian this last time, “thank you for the reminder”. Sometimes all you need is a little reminder to get you right back on your road to destiny.

I attended the Into the Light (plant medicine) retreat. It was my first time with plant medicine and it was the best place to do. The group was small (only 8 participants) and Brian and Jody was very accommodating and answered all my questions. They provided such a safe space for me and it really helped me to relax as best as I could do. It was my third visit to the FOL and I have so much gratitude for Jody and Brian and the sacred space which is the FOL. I came away with the lesson of compassion, love that place.

Finca de Vida is such a special place. You can feel all of the love that has gone into creating it through each detail- the healthy meals that seriously look like works of art, the gardens, the pathways that lead to magical places (make sure to check out the cool pool!), the comfortable beds, the balconies with stunning views, the talented and kind staff. Brian and Jody make you feel right at home and lovingly shared so much of Costa Rica’s beauty with us on the retreat I attended. I’ve really never been anywhere like this. This place is good for the mind, body and soul. Their dog Dao is also a real treat, just the sweetest! This place is truly an enchanted playground in nature. I will be back for sure. Thank you for a deeply healing week!

Finca de Vida will stay dearly in my heart... Jody & Brian, with the help of others, did an extraordinary job on that property over the years... whether it's permaculture or the infrastructures... lots of energy, time, and money was invested with great results. From good food, breathtaking views of the Diamante valley, beautifuly constructed cabins, different activities passing from yoga, qi-gong, ecstatic dances, soundbaths, swimming in a amazing pool, visits to different waterfalls and much more, the farm is a wonderful place to "unplug", rest, recharge, heal and also, exchange/connect with incredible people. Good internet connection is accessible for the digital traveler if necessary, and a communal kitchen is available for everyone. All cabins/bungalows have separate bathrooms with showers. They also guide/provide ceremonies from certain sacred plant medicine with options for small retreats at different time during the year. Being on top of the world at Finca De Vida during that stay was one of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica so far. Brian, Jody, Carmen, Ariana, and all the beautiful people & animals I met during that experience, I thank you so much for the memories... they are deeply in my ❤️. ❤️🙏 Grateful 🙏❤️

I visited for a retreat and I was instantly enchanted by the magic of this land, a true gem deep in the forests by the tallest waterfall in Costa Rica. The food was very special, and the learning about local plants and alternative healing, activities/excursions they can take you on, and conversations you have there are so nourishing, exciting, and life-changing. Our view was beautiful, felt like I was in a dream. Brian & Jody were so caring, attentive to detail, and fun to spend time with. I had an accident at a waterfall and slid down onto rock - they not only moved me to a different building (so I wouldn't have to be carried/crutch up to my room), but also brought me ice, an effective herbal poultice, and used an electric machine to speed up healing. Brian was very empathetic and caring for those 2 days before I left for San Juan to get X-rays. (It turned out I had 3 broken bones in my foot, and I am certain that the lessons I learned there stayed with me throughout my healing journey that Spring.) I can't wait to bring my family & friends to this special land. I will be forever grateful to Brian, Jody, and the crew at Finca De Vida.
