A lovely place run by Alexander, George, Maya, and Helmut the sausage dog, we did the camping, sites were nice and big some shady, they have a island bar which opens at 6, to access to bar one needs to cross a swing, sadly they only serve alcohol, no food, so come prepared. Helmund the sausage dog will look after you all he wants is a bit of vleis, really had a lovely stay there
This was one of our best camps we had so far. We really liked the surroundings and the atmosphere. Alex and his son were super nice and we had a great night at the bar on the island together. Thank you for the great informations and tips you gave us!
What a find! As we entered Divundu we were not sure what to expect because there is not much in Divundu. But we were so pleasantly surprised- we almost cancelled our next destination to spend an extra night here. Alexander has created a rustic and charming oasis that respects the environment in which it is situated. The units are self catering and have been very well taken care off. A walk across the swing bridge and you are on an island from which you can see Angola. We feel very fortunate to have been able to experience Mobola Lodge.
This is really, what they call, paradise! The cottages are lovely, cosy and clean. The breakfast is nice, with a stunning view on your private terrace. But there are absolutely no words to discribe the beauty of the bar. The view is amazing and setting makes it even better! The owner and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had some trouble with our car and they were very great with their support! Definitely a place to visit!
We camped here for two days and loved every minute of our stay. The campsites are neat and well maintained. The grounds are kept very neat and ablutions are immaculate. The chalets look great and were all occupied when we were there. The pool area has a waterfall and had some waxbills drinking when the fall was running. A very relaxing area. We went fishing and had some success with a tiger or two. George a young man was our guide and knew exactly where to go.(thanks George you made my hubby a very happy man) The bar is fabulous, situated on an island with spectacular sunsets. (ps don't party too much at the bar the suspension bridge is the only way to get back) Its really a gem in the Caprivi area and we will definatly be back to stay a little longer next time.
Good accommodation on the banks of the river. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Our chalet was big, with a comfortable veranda. Well equipped kitchen area. An interesting bar on an island in the middle of the river, accessed by a cable-suspension bridge. Very good tiger-fishing guide. Braai meat sold on the premises, and it proved to be exceptional quality. Breakfast was good too. Recommended.
Stayed here for 2 nights and it is just a wonderful lodge, most probably the best my wife and have stayed in. The chalet is spacious and well equipped, good linen on a comfortable bed. Chalets are right on the river and the bar on the island is great. The owner, Alex, is very helpful.
We were a group of 6 people on a camping/ road-trip and camped here for 3 nights. The owner is very relaxed, welcoming and friendly, yet efficient and helpful. There are 6 campsites all very individually situated and set up and are all near to the Okavango river. Electricity is available and sinks are present at each site. The bathroom facilities are lovely (2 loos for females, 2 showers) and have got hot water (solar). The pool is more for cooling down rather than swimming, but is refreshing and in a lovely setting. A short walk across a bridge is the island which offers a great stroll or two with some lovely sights over the Okavango. The Mobola Lodge Bar is also found on the island and is a quirky bar with excellent views, run by the owner and a great place for a 'sundowner' and meeting other campers and guests. We stayed at a few other campsites whilst in the Kavango region and this one was by far our favourite.…
A real treasure located directly at the Okavango river. The setting, the rooms, the bar, the pool, the rope bridge... Really awesome! We have stayed there for two nights during our trip to Vic Falls, and would have stayed longer, of possible. It is a self catering lodge, but that is really not a problem. We have bought food and beer in Rundu, on our way to the lodge. At the lodge we bought braai packs. So we where set for the BBQ. BBQ in Afrika, in direct view to the Okavango. Outstanding! Firewood was supplied by the lodge, so you just need to cool your beer and off you go. You can order breakfast, which is also absolutely stunning. Just have a look at my pictures. We will be back for sure!
This lodge really is a brilliant place to stay at the Okavango River. The owners as the staff are really on the ball - friendly, helpful and very funny. The location of the lodge is very unique and all the bungalows are really spacious and so neat ! Every bungalow has at least one - if not two braii areas and the braii wood is for free. If you don't bring your own food you can buy certain kinds of meat there too. The bar is located on a little island and offers stunning views too. Whenever we travel this area again - this lodge will be on our bucket list for sure.
