Welcome to the Arizona side of the largest man-made reservoir in America - spectacular Lake Mead. Here you'll find world-class bass fishing, long southwestern summers and endless smooth waters for skiing, boarding and swimming. The Temple Bar Marina is conveniently located off AZ Highway 93 in northwestern Arizona - about 5 hours from Phoenix and about an hour from Las Vegas. Visitors accessing the lake from Temple Bar enjoy easy access to hundreds of coves and beaches along Mead's vast shoreline. Temple Bar Marina is named after the massive rock formation here that shares the moniker. In addition to a full-service marina, Temple Bar offers lakeside lodging and a convenient RV park with full hook-ups, coin laundry and easy access to the convenience store, gift shop, cafe and launch ramp. Most visitors find that the fishing here in the Temple Bar area is great! This part of vast Lake Mead hosts fewer visitors than areas near the dam and you'll find the staff and facilities here are very "fisherman friendly". A convenient fish-cleaning station is located at the top of the ramp to accommodate cleaning your catch and the nearby ice machine provides fresh ice so that you can more easily take your catch home too. If you're interested in coming to wonderful Lake Mead, we encourage you to check out the facilities and friendly faces awaiting your visit here at Temple Bar Marina.

SEPT 17 2020 Hopefully, within months, perhaPs even weeks, this post will be irrelevant. For now, the Temple Bar Marina restaurant and store (the only place to buy food within an hour's drive) are closed. There has been a sudden death amongst management ( natural causes), with key people leaving for now. Remaining staff are doing their best to continue to make Temple Bar the truly wonderful, warm, friendly place that it is. For those looking foward to boating, the marina fuel dock is open . Just be aware that the lake water level is dropping fast; many un-marked places, some rocky, where you can "ground", both inside and outside the marina's break-water.

a couple of weeks ago we spent two nights in the full kitchen room at temple bar. it was nice, mostly clean and spacious. it had everything one would need for living well by the lake. kitchen had full fridge, nuker, toaster, plates, silverware etc. satellite tv, wifi (not fast but not so bad, good enough) dinner table, decent couch and two double beds in a separate room. plenty of room for food and extras (floaties, bbq, coolers, etc) the young gal doing the cleaning was very nice and helpful. we experienced a brown out while we were there but the air conditioning worked well enough while management got right on it and we had full power within a few hours. we also rented a fishing boat while we were there. it's a putt putt putter but it got us around well enough. man the lake was glossy and warm........so nice ;-) the hotel and boat rental manager jennifer and the rest of the crew were cool, professional and informative. thanks a bunch guys. it was a killer time and as arnold swazzywazzy would say..................we'll be bauck!

We had hoped to spend a day on the water very last minute. Lake Mead Marina and others were booked for weeks out. We stumbled upon Temple Bar and were so glad we did! Yes, it was a little farther from Vegas but the service was top notch and we had the lake practically to ourselves. The drive from Vegas was easy - interstate to a long (28 miles) paved "drive". They have a cafe and they were so, so nice they gave us advice, directions, really acted HAPPY to see us! Imagine that! Having been in Vegas we were totally ill prepared and had hoped to buy a cooler but they were out. Jennifer at the boat house actually loaned us her personal cooler. We bought a days worth of drinks (soda, beer, water, ice) for what one drink on the strip would have cost. The marina is old and there is nothing fancy, but we hopped on our pontoon and were underway with map in hand in no time. Being from Florida I did not expect much but this water was beautiful. I was shocked at how clean, clear and cool it was. We pulled over into several coves and just jumped in. It was 106 degrees on the boat and pure perfection in the water. It was so refreshing! No sharks, no alligators, no seaweed, no currents to fight, or other weird Florida lly is a giant waterway right in the middle of the desert. We stayed in the Virgin Canyon area.

Was looking for an RV park close to Las Vegas and on a Lake. 1. There are some permanent mobile homes and they squeeze you in an empty lot between them and it's all gravel. Lake Meade is a long ways away down a boat ramp. So if you don't have a boat you really have no access to the lake.

We were a group of family and friends from PA that traveled to Vegas for a week. We wanted to get off the strip and spend some time on the lake over the holiday weekend. I called several boat rental places on the lake and Temple Bar was the most accommodating! We rented a 26' deck boat and spent the whole day on the lake. The kids loved it and we made memories that will last a lifetime! Everyone at Temple Bar Marina was fantastic, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - everyone from the phone reservations, staff at check in and the guys on the dock that showed us how to use everything on the boat. I can't wait to go back ! I can't review the hotel because we drove in, but the marina and office staff were incredible!
