Be aware if you book this hotel it is right under the landing path for the airport so planes are constantly overhead. Room was decent, though there were days when the hot water was spotty in my room and the hvac system seemed to struggle to cool the room. The fitness center was really nice and provided machines, dumbbells, as well as several other items. We were disappointed as a group in the offerings for breakfast provided to our group (perhaps that is what we paid for). The hotel is convenient to several areas for eating.
Pros: -friendly staff -central location -easy valet parking -pretty courtyard and grounds -nice gym -good Hyatt Globalist recognition Cons: -A bit dated Overall it’s a good option if in the area. Plane spotting is fun on the roof too. Ssss
The hotel itself is very comfortable- my room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the provided toiletries were actually great! The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, and the location of the hotel was very convenient as far as food, drink, and nightlife. I especially appreciated that they had a UPS store right on site! I would definitely stay here if I was returning to Tempe for either business or pleasure.
Hotel and staff are superlative. Have always been fantastic for the over 20 years we've made our annual pilgrimage to Tempe. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Its great seeing familiar faces year after year who remember us too.
I can’t say enough about Tempe Mission Palms! Everything from the staff to the food to the wonderful rooms was above par. Everything was clean and our every need met. Staff were friendly and attentive. The amenities amazing!
It's a nice hotel, but constant jet aircraft noise from the airport take offs made it hard to rest at night. Staff, cleanliness, food, it's all good, but if I can't sleep at night due to noise levels I wouldn't recommend it. Needs a lot better sound dampening.
While WiFi in the conference area was pretty good, guest room WiFi was so weak that I was forced to use my phone as a hotspot . If a hotel is going to have the stones to charge an extra $10/day for "resort fees" to supposedly include services like WiFi the alleged services should be up to par. This was one of the worst in room WiFi experiences I've had in years. The hotel restaurant has good food but uneven service. At a table of four, one member got there about ten minutes after we ordered food. His food came out first; when the rest of us inquired we we were told that our food ( a rare steak and some salmon ) "took longer to cook. Um, OK. If you get room overlooking the courtyard, you'll be subjected to hearing Muzak from the courtyard ( admittedly low volume but still audible ) starting a little after 7AM each morning. The nearby area used to have a bustling restaurant scene, but the pandemic has shuttered a LOT of the nicer restaurants along nearby Mill Ave. …
Beautiful lobby and pool area, but if you're in rooms near the nightclubs (rooms facing south and west I believe) you won't get any sleep. Hours of bass from live music ruined two of our nights, and we finally complained and were moved to a room overlooking the pool (which cost $60+ more per night but this and breakfast were comped) and got some sleep.
Tempe Mission Palms was fantastic. It was my first stay here. The room was super comfortable and clean. The staff was beyond polite and friendly. The work out space was great and the pool is wonderful. If your room faces 5th, it will be a bit noisy. Request a courtyard room to alleviate the noise. Excellent location to walk to Mill Ave. restaurants, Tempe Town Lake, A Mountain, and campus.
Lovely property. Great location. Close to everything. Nice decor for an older property. Well maintained. Staff was very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. It had a lot to choose from coffee, juices, hot breakfast eggs sausage bacon and even prime rib hash.
