First, there was an uninspiring check-in, which included an attempt to tidy up while making excuses (at 7 pm) for a new housekeeper. After a closer look, we decided the housekeeper couldn't be the whole trouble. In fact, we decided to use our sleeping bags rather than the beds. We were thinking of showering, but were without flip-flops, which seemed... More

After seeing the bad reviews, all I can say is we must have had a better room-Our room was clean. It's like an old motel from the 50s on route 66. Small room, no amenities, but it was clean. Old sheets and towels, the throw rug was dirty but we just shoved it aside for the night we were there.... More

My wife and I visit Superior to see her family for one week every year. The only motel in Superior is this one. We have stayed here for the past 10 years. It has always been old and outdated but was relatively clean. No so anymore. We spent a full week here in April of 2016. The room was filthy... More

It was a place to lay my head. Very basic. Small bathroom. Small shower. Used to be called The Jornada. It's the only place in town where you can do laundry; a couple of machines out back. The thing is, it's all about what you bring to it. If you're used to luxury you're gonna hate this. If you've been... More

Do not stay at this hotel, save your money!! We stayed at this hotel over Easter weekend and it was horrible. The shower had not been cleaned from the last guest, I went to take a shower and the soap from the last person was still there, the bath tub was DISGUSTING... The towels looked like they were 10 years... More

Title says it all. We had a small room near (facing) the highway, and thus let the A/C run whenever there to drown-out the road noise. Mostly blue-collar workers, etc. seemed to be staying there. Painted concrete floors were chilly. Amenities limited to TV, small frig & microwave (and wifi). Surrounding area was rather unattractive, but the bed was OK... More

CLEAN, basic, convenient, inexpensive and only 3 miles from Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park. Great value close to Phoenix and Apache Junction. The service was excellent and friendly. I'd stay there again.

This is the best place to stay in Superior. Clean room, hot shower, comfortable bed, superior service. Nothing fancy. Definitely will stay here again. BEAUTIFUL area. Thank you John for the friendly service!

My wife and daughters think motels are sleazy and gross, where happy earwigs flourish under yellow-stained pillows. So, since I was travelling alone to visit the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, I jumped at the chance to stay at the Copper Mountain Motel, along Highway 60 in the old mining town of Superior. The motel clerk had a few teeth missing and... More

Very comfortable bed, satellite TV, fridge and microwave (perfect for leftover pizza from Edwardo's Pizzaria, across the road, best pizza ever). A nice touch is an assortment of menus from local restaurants in a drawer. A/C and heater work great, used both in same day, typical Arizona weather! Very friendly and helpful managers, plus the most beautiful nearby mountain views.
