Treated some family to a Spa trip and was very pleased with our experience. Hotel was modern, clean and conformable (only minor gripe was a lack of a kettle in the room - how very British of me!). Ruska Bania was a fantastic experience with proper Polish hospitality (i.e. lots of yummy food!). Folwarlk location was stunning. A place where you can truly relax and experience the beauty of the Mazury. I will definitely be coming back.
I had my wedding reception here and I couldn't have asked for anything better! When we were looking around Elk for somewhere to host our reception, there were a few places near but none of them could have come close to matching Folwark Lekuk. The managers always listened to our thoughts, replied to our questions and really wanted to make our reception special. They made the English guests at our wedding feel just as welcome as the Polish ones which is appreciated bearing in mind the rural location. The hotel is located about 40 mins drive from the center of Elk and is in a stunning location with a lake and woodland backing onto it. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well furnished. The style and feel of the hotel is rustic while still being clean and well kept. The food at the reception is good quality, homemade and fresh. In the spa I only tried the steam room but it too was very good. The staff are very friendly and while their English is basic it is more than enough for any help you might need. We visited for a few nights after the wedding and relaxed by taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings and saw the local bison! There seems to be events on frequently and in summer there are a lot of outdoor activities which I'd love to come back to do!…
Just returned from a 4 day stay at Folwark Lekuk for a wedding along with my wife and son (Best Man) and experienced our first ever Polish wedding. Well first the location, this is set deep into the North of Poland towards the Russian and Lithuanian border in some of the most stunning surroundings. It was well of the beaten track so lovely and quite around a large lake. Not many of the staff spoke English BUT we don’t speak Polish but the language barrier was never a problem. Food was good and beautifully presented and boy was it at the drinks cheap. There is plenty to do unless you choose like us to just relax for a few days and then the wedding party checked in. The relaxation over we now got down to the wedding which was wonderful but if you do attend a Polish wedding don’t expect to go to bed early, they finish a 4, the food goes on just as long and boy does the Vodka get hammered. Folwark Lekuk put on a very good show and the staff were first class. Would we visit again, yes we would just be prepared that if your driving from Warsaw be prepared for a very long drive but its worth it.…
A charming hotel over a lake. Fantastic for weddings. One can marry on a hill, next to an aging oak. Lots of nature. Beautiful night sky. Caring people at the reception. Food made over traditional fire. Far away from the rush of cities. Beautiful and relaxing.
Folwark Łękuk is a revitalized manor farm site located on a small hill facing Lake Łękuk. The hotel itself was built only a few years ago in a shape and form of a historic manor house standing in this very location. Interestingly, a small part of the original building was purposefully left intact. Upon arrival I was greeted with a lot of warmth by the hotel crew. The very next thing that stood out was the hotel room in an impeccable condition with the bathroom feeling literally spotless. It turns out the hotel rooms were designed in distinct themes (mine being the “fields” motif) which included not only the design of the rooms themselves, but extended even to the fragrance of a shower gel, giving the rooms an individual touch. The attractions and facilities comprised the underground SPA with a variety of massage choices, bike rides/x-country skiing (depending on the season, obviously), recreational kayaking down the streams, and many more which I did not get a chance to try during the limited time of my stay. I was able, however, to get the taste (pun intended) of the “Fire and Water” restaurant. It’s serving home-made regional cuisine based on the lovely and authentic fresh local produce supplemented by the custom choice of wine. Filled with enough energy, I managed to do some exploring of the surroundings, too. Łękuk is located in Puszcza Borecka, a primeval forest boasting many wild creatures, with the mighty European wood bisons (Żubr europejski) standing out from the crowd. In fact, it’s one of few places they can be seen roaming freely. The tremendous weather that day added to the mix – bright springy sun shining on the lingering patches of snow. Now, for the icing on the cake and my personal favourite. Russian banya is a sauna-like facility very popular towards the east of Europe. The wood-fired one in Łękuk is a piece of fine craftsmanship placed on the wooden platform off the shore of the lake. There’s an extra chamber inside suitable for dining and never-ending discussions with friends. Naturally, one ought to be periodically cooling down in the lake itself which is especially effective during the winter, provided being brave enough. Once immersed (pun not intended) in the overall experience, the time starts flowing according to different rules. One can suddenly realise that 7 hours of the stay (out of the planned 2) had already passed, as it was in my case. The otherwise overused cliché that time flows differently in a given place here actually holds true. After my recent stay I returned home feeling like having been in a different dimension for weeks rather than days, with a fresh look on the surrounding world. -Adam…
As part of an English immersion experience for Polish people we stayed at Lekuk for 6 days this week. We have stayed at various properties in Poland over the last few years and Folwark Lekuk was, by far, the best. The facilities are wonderful, high quality with a rustic feel, totally in keeping with the environment. The service was exceptional. It was a pleasure being greeted by staff demonstrated genuine friendliness. This extended from the management through to the dining room servers. The food, which was provided in buffet format was very good, although some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been appreciated. The location was wonderful. Located on a lake in the rolling Polish countryside seemed like an invitation for long morning walks. Prices for special coffees, drinks or the occasional dessert are very reasonable, at least by Western European and North American standards. If you have a reason to visit this part of Poland I do not think you will do much better than staying here.…
It was the best decision to organize the wedding in Folwark Lekuk. This place connects cosy and elegance which provides wonderful atmosphere. Excellent meals were very good served by nice and polite waiters. Nowadays is hard to find a place with being so close to the nature with a lot of entertainments. I definitely recommend it for the wedding and for staying in, for sure me and my wife will be back there.
Folwark Lekuk is very special place. Its service& stuff is really caring& helpful. It has huge selection of food, lovely breakfast buffet& fantastic A'la Carte menu.We rent bicycles for the day which was perfect way to explore beautiful surrounding area.It was lovely break for us and Folwark Lekuk was just the perfect place to spend holidays.
Beautifull place with a proper spa facilities - sauna, massage, outside banya and jacuzzi. Choice of vegetarian food. Good service quality - the owners are present all the time, the personel is well trained and very helpful.
I was a participant in a women's weekend. I did not only take a rest but also learned few practical scills, like bakicking bread, making a butter, cooking old polish dishes. Łękuk is a really extraordinary place. You can take a rest and totally forget about daily routines and surrows. What's more, there is a "ruska bania". I came to Łekuk a bit ill, but after a session in bania I felt so much better, that I quit taking my medicine. A great thanx to Iza and Krzysztof! Keep going and never give up! :)
