This hotel is very very tired and the rooms need to be updated. The hotel dining room served mediocre food. The staff was friendly and accommodating though. The best thing this hotel has going for it is it’s location-away from the crowdedness of Sedona.

Hotel's Favorite
They have a lot more amenities than we were able to use during a one night stay but the kids and husbands loved the pool area, we loved the rooms, and the mattresses were perfect. We loved the area and have decided to visit again and will absolutely be staying here for a week on the next go around. Great location, great views, wonderful staff.

was optimistic when I booked this hotel. I had read the reviews, but I think that some people are too pretentious when they travel, and I like to see things for myself before officially dismissing something. After staying, I do feel some of the reviews are over the top, but I do agree this is an overpriced resort. My husband is in the military and has spent most of the last two years in hotels, mostly Hiltons. We also have credit cards that give us both Diamond, regardless. Pros: Beautiful location. It really does have a beautiful view of the rocks. Its located about 15-20 minutes from Sedona (in Oak Canyon, not Sedona), which isn't bad- straight shot. The views from our room of the rocks were nice, and not obstructed. As a parent, I did enjoy the nostalgic activities the hotel provided for families and otherwise, movies, cookie decorating, smores, live music, stargazing, etc. Though, you have to buy the smore kits ($15, serves 2 people) The resort could use some updating, but overall, it was nice and clean. The decor matched the theme of "Sedona." There wasn't a musty smell, as others suggested. At least not in the spaces we were in. They allow pets. (All of Sedona is pet friendly!) Which is great. I didn't smell any pet smells-and there were several pets on our floor. They have a water bowl in the lobby, with a treat bin. The beds, though small, were comfortable. (They didn't feel like queens.) Wifi was reliable in our room. Not so much in other parts of the hotel (mostly outside/restaurant area) It says the wifi is for 2 devices, but we all had our phones connected (3) and the lap top for our daughters school work, without problem. We were able to find parking, but I imagine if the resort was full, that would have been more difficult, as there were ever only a few open spots. Close proximity to all of the trails and red rock sites. All within a 5-10 minute drive. Rooms are pretty sound proof. We didn't have any problems with noise. The pool area looked nice, but it wasn't usable due to the winter snowstorms and cold weather during our stay. (I mean, theoretically, I suppose you could have used it, but it's outdoor.) Staff were kind and friendly. They had nice holiday decorations. Cons: I have stayed in regular Hiltons, including my husband's current Homewood suite, that are as nice, or nicer. Our Diamond "upgrade" was not what I'd consider an upgrade. There is really very little benefit to being Diamond here. Had we not paid all in points, I would have been annoyed at the resort fee (35/day). You dont get anything really. The room was a bit cramped. We had to store our bags (one carry on per person, nothing outrageous) under the desk. The restaurant food was overpriced, but average. Although, to be fair, I felt that a lot of the food in the area was also overpriced and mediocre. The food and beverage credit has to be used daily, and the two [person] credits ($15/pp) doesn't even cover the cost of one breakfast. It wouldn't even cover the cost of the take away items. You had to be in the shower to turn it on due to the location of the glass door, and the stationary part of the glass. You could not reach the water turn on without being inside the shower, and getting soaked. The shower stream hit the bottom of the door at just the right place, and the water would get all over the floor, as well. And, because the one towel holder is on the side with the door that doesn't open, your towel, on the floor, gets soaked. COVID: The hotel still allows mask wearing to be voluntary for vaccinated, and "recommends" mask wearing for those who aren't (so, also voluntary). Which means only vaccinated people wear masks. It seems as though it was left up to staff, as well,, if they wanted to wear it. And, with the new variant, that is just irresponsible. It looks like they are back to cleaning rooms daily without requesting it. Room service is still suspended, but you can order take out from the restaurant. Overall, this was a decent 3-3.5 star hotel. Which wouldn't be bad, except we booked a resort and used a ton of our points for it. It wasn't a bad experience, but if we return to the area, we would not stay here again because it's just not worth what you have to pay for it, especially given other options in the area

I booked this property because it offered more amenities than most others in the area and because I am a diamond member and could use points for a free stay. The hotel sits approximately 10 minutes outside of downtown Sedona, to me was a huge benefit as we could get groceries, gas and takeout meals without having to made the congested drive into town. I had a few separate reservations for consecutive nights. I called the property and spoke with Eric Bilyou, Pre-Arrival Coordinator, who strung the reservations together for me prior to arrival, so we didn’t need to change rooms. He also upgraded me several times prior to arrival from a standard room to one with a balcony/Patio, to one with a balcony/patio and redrock view. We ultimately ended up in a larger suite with two double beds which was perfect so we could all split up and get some sleep. (see Hilton Diamond Benefits at the end). Eric provided such exceptional customer service that I made it a point to meet him during my stay and personally thank him for all his help to make our stay enjoyable. We checked in at about 2 am 12/27 and they had obviously looked at my room request. We were away from the elevator in a quiet wing. Extra blankets, towels and a cot were already in the room. THANK YOU! The hallways and room looked updated and very clean One of the standard rooms is actually a suite with separate living room and sleeping area. There is also a wet bar area with mini fridge and microwave. This was a nice amount of space for a family of 4. The property had a nice semi-resort feel. The lobby had a wonderful smelll and has a cozy atmosphere with nice wood detail. There is a combination Starbucks/restaurant on property. We ordered several breakfasts and they were excellent (pancakes, red rock energy bowl, croissant) but the lunch and dinner menus were really limited. Room cleaning is available upon request, which we declined. Each day they leave a card for you to fill out and leave on your door knob requesting clean towels, more toiletries and other items for Diamond members. Any trash, towels and dishes guest left in the hallway were PROMPTLY removed. Housekeeping was amazing. There were several fire pits outside and s'more kits available as well as igloo dining. During the day, you were close to many of Sedona's most popular sights. I loved just driving a few short minutes down the road to reach Bell Rock, the Holy Chapel and Cathedral Rock. The highlight of my stay was the staff. EVERYONE I met had a smile and said hello. They were helpful and efficient. I have not received this level of service in years. Thank you for making me feel welcome and at home. We had a late night flight and I was given a late checkout of 2 which was very helpful. At the last minute it was extended until 6 pm which was very generous, again, the hotel went above and beyond. Other highlights included free parking, heated pool, spa, spacious rooms and free laundry. Some small glitches included charges to my room that were not mine, but that was quickly rectified. If I could change anything, it would be to have the restaurant on property expand their menu and include few more basic family friendly options for lunch and dinner. Diamond Members - standard redemption includes a king suite, currently there is up to a $15 food and beverage credit (in place of breakfast ) for up to 2 people daily ($30 max daily)which does not roll over. Diamond members can get water, trail maps, masks, hand sanitizer daily. I received multi-level upgrades. Spa amenities include the soaking tub, lap pool and sauna. We also borrowed robes from them for the week. There are many properties to chose from in the area, but I highly recommend the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock. Being outside the congestion was relaxing and the customer serve and facility exceeded my expectations in every way. We will return!
