Sedona itself is an amazing experience and it met and exceeded all expectations….. combine this with the most remarkable accommodations…. The result was spectacular.

First, Kathy and Larry are the most attentive and friendly hosts. Their beautiful hideaway is full of love and thoughtfulness. As soon as you pull up to their home you will immediately know you have chosen the right place as it hovers below the most wonderful view of Cathedral Rock. We stayed on the second floor in the Safari room with a wall of windows where we watched both sunrises and moonrises. The room holds a king size sleep number bed, a 2 person jacuzzi tub, a huge walk in shower with all the hot water one could want. So much attention to detail, right down to a towel warmer !! We slept with the window open and ceiling fan on… and just when you may think what more can there be ?? Just wait until breakfast. Kathy and Larry are a well oiled machine for sure !! They will create the most delicious breakfast of your choice each and every day.

I am sure I would have loved Sedona wherever I stayed but the Cathedral Hideaway made our experience so much more special than ever imagined. I cannot wait to go again !!

Thank so much, Michelle and Jaime. We are anxious to see your smiling faces again. There is always more to see in Sedona and the surrounding area and we are just the right ones to head you in the right direction. Now that we know you a little bit, it will be even easier to make sure to know about the local trails and restaurants you would most enjoy. Our best to you both always.

Kathy and Larry's hospitality is unparalleled. Breakfast every morning was delicious and filling, they have every amenity you could possibly need. The location is incredible, there are plenty of hikes and trails walking distance as well as viewpoints where you can watch the sunset and get some great photos of Cathedral Rock. My husband and I stayed in the Safari Room for our "Babymoon" and it far exceeded our expectations. The view of Cathedral Rock from our windows and starlit sky from the jacuzzi tub was beautiful and romantic. Kathy and Larry will provide you with whatever you need, including the trip of a lifetime!

We loved making your trip memorable. Having a baby is a very special event. I know, I had four of those special events. We know it will probably be a while before you can comfortably vacation alone together. We try to lay the groundwork for how to make the most of every quiet and special moment. We would love to see pictures when you have a moment in your schedule to send them out. refresh@sedonaCathedralHideaway.com Many blessings.

Wife and I stayed in the Safari room. Second floor had a living, painting-like view of Cathedral Rock from a private patio. Owner is a gourmet chef (in my opinion). She had a wide variety of breakfasts to choose from (seriously like 15+ options). Room was exquisite and can compete with rooms in five star hotels. From the B&B, we took only a 10 minute leisurely stroll to Crescent Moon Picnic site where we could wade in the cool Oak Creek all the way to Buddha Beach. Temp was a bit high for labor day so we decided not to persue Cathedral Rock Trailhead. We will return one day to finish our hike for sure. Owners Larry and Kathy were extremely friendly and have 15 years experience catering to their guests.

My husband and I just returned after a wonderful stay at the casita. It is right next door to the B&B, so you have esy access to the very nice owners, Kathy and Larry. The casita was incredibly clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and great appliances. The owners were so kind to leave starter food for breakfast, coffee, juice, ice cream, etc. It was nice to not have to run out to the grocery store the first day we arrived. Kathy was very welcoming and met us upon arrival to give a tour of the casita and gave great pointers for different hiking trails, restaurants, and activities. The casita is looking directly at Cathedral Rock and the views are amazing. We enjoyed drinking coffee each moring just gazing at the outdoors. Sunset was also a perfect time to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. The casita is located abiut 15 minutes from the main Sedona downtown, but we found that to be a plus. It was nice to come home and relax away from the crowds. There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants within 5 -10 minutes of the casista. The bed was super comfortable. It was great to have a washer and dryer to do the laundry after hiking on some muddy trails. Kathy and Larry are very nice and were helpful on more than one occassion. I got a pretty bad sunburn one day. Kathy saw it and immediatley brought me a soothing aloe gel to use that was perfect (she has a skin care line called Superior Skin Secrets!). Our truck had a dead battery one morning and Larry was kind enough to give us a jump start that literally saved our day- so much apprecaited. I am already planning on returning with a group of friends and would anticpate stayng in the casita again as well as the two rooms available in the B&B itself.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay! Sedona is amazing and so is this special hideaway.

Thank you so much for your extensive description of what it was like for you to stay in our Cathedral Casita. Everyone remarks about how different it is to be just outside of the hustle and bustle of 89A with all the restaurants, hotels and shops. We all love being so close to it but we were so blessed to be guided to buy a one acre parcel in 2000 before all the newspapers, travel magazines and Social Media started writing stories about this being the most beautiful place in America. We had no idea that would happen when we built in 2006. We are so happy we followed our intuition and built where we still have dark skies, wild life, trees, cactus and the hush of the wind rustling through the pines, junipers and deciduous trees. And best of all, we love sharing it with amazing guests like yourselves. It makes our hearts flutter when to read what you wrote. We look at each other and say, yup we did the right thing by taking the big leap and building another house on the property in 2020. We hope to see you again soon. Remember there is a 10% discount for returning guests when you call us direct.

Four of us stayed at the Cathedral Casita for 3 nights in April 2021 and it was more than we expected. The beds were so comfy, I had to ask where she got the sheets! They had robes and a towel warmer in each bathroom - very nice touch! They provided fresh fruit, eggs, oatmeal, various juices and coffee choices. I’ve never stayed somewhere with so many choices of snacks! The Casita also had every kitchen appliance you could want - we learned how to use the expresso maker and that was a great start to our day. The deck overlooking Cathedral Rock was a beautiful site in the morning and at night the stars were endless. Kathy and Larry were excellent hosts and helped us figure out what hike to take. We ended up hiking from the Casita to Cathedral Rock. We had to walk over the river and through the woods to get to it, but we saw so many beautiful sites and didn’t have to fight traffic or try to find a place to park. I am NOT a hiker and it took us approximately 4 hours to get there and back, but we made it to the top of Cathedral Rock and it was breathtaking. Don’t give up - just take lots of rest stops and plenty of water. Everywhere we ate (Mesa Grill, Hideaway House, The Coffee Pot) was extremely good and fresh. Everyone was so friendly along the hike, in the shops and restaurants. The Casita was out away from the busyness of Sedona, but close enough to drive to town. Highly recommend staying here!

We love hearing that we have accomplished our goal of duplicating the luxury experience we have been providing in our luxury B&B next door for the last 15 years. Hearing your laughter coming from the deck is a beautiful way of paying us back for the time and efforts we put into building the casita and finishing it at the end of 2020. We always like sharing the information we have gained over the years not only from our personal experience but the thousands of people that visited us and fell in love with Sedona as we have for many years. The walk through Red Rock Crossing Park, back to the vortex, and then through Oak Creek to get the Cathedral Rock Trailhead and then up the trail to the top is quite an accomplishment for a non hiker but you did it anyway. So Kudos to you for taking that hike up and back. If you have any ideas of something we should add to the Casita, please let us know by calling us at 928-203-4180. Our best to you, Kathy and Larry

My husband and I spent a week at the best bed and breakfast. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this was by far the best. The hospitality from the moment we arrived was the best. The owners make you feel at home because they truly care about their guest. We arrived later at night and they took the time to show us their bed and breakfast, from the chocolate that is out all the time, to the homemade ice cream, to a breakfast menu that was to die for, to the beautiful pictures and all the amenities. They then told us where to grab a bite to eat. Everyday was special, we would wake up to a breakfast that we picked out the night before.the hostess got up 1.5 hours early just to prepare something speical. At breakfast they would give us helpful hint; what to see, where to eat, and where to hike. Everything that was suggested was the best. After our day out we returned to a beautiful room-mini suite with everything that you could ask for- a couch, a sitting area, a walk in shower bigger than my bathroom at home, a soaking tub, and a beautiful fireplace. The bed was turned down with a special chocolate treat. The last night we were blessed with a special hand massage and wax treatment. It felt amazing. That night we were also blessed with a speical spice, that we will treasure forever..every day that I see that tin, it reminds my husband and I of the best bed and breakfast we have stayed at. Knowing that we had to leave early in morning a breakfast was packed for us to enjoy on the way. Amazing is all I can say, and thank-you for opening your house to us.

I want to thank Larry & Kathy Jaeckel for allowing us to stay in their beautiful mansion, I loved it & didn’t want to leave! Their house is amazing, the views were fantastic, they are wonderful people, great cooks & have good information about Sedona. Our room was huge, bed was comfortable, jacuzzi tub & walk in shower were fabulous, great water pressure, walk in closet, mini fridge, double sinks, 3 sided fireplace, powerful ceiling fan, amazing windows with views!!!! They supplied snacks, water & fanny pack for our hike to cathedral rock which we saw from our balcony & from the top of the mountain that we climbed. We only stayed there two nights but I wish it was longer! So much I could say about this place, it’s a must stay!

We stayed 4 nights with Kathy and Larry in the Evergreen Room. This was my first B&B experience and I doubt we’ll ever find another that we enjoyed as much. The bar has been set! To put it simply, they spoil you. Breakfasts are amazing, endless supply of chocolate and ice cream. Your room is essentially a suite. Shower is huge. I could spin with my arms out and not even come close to touching a wall! Jetted tub, Kathy’s own face products (great touch)... all the little things. On top of the unbeatable hospitality, views were amazing. Kathy and Larry make a great team, making you feel welcome, yet you have all the privacy you could want. We even met a cute javelina. Miss it already. Stay here... you won’t be disappointed!

I booked the Sedona Cathedral Hideaway for my husband’s birthday after spending hours reading reviews of b&b’s and hotels in Sedona. I couldn’t find a single negative comment about the hideaway. There were nothing but rave reviews and we were not disappointed. Larry and Kathy are so passionate about what they do and are the sweetest couple. They strive for perfection and it truly shows.

We stayed upstairs in the safari room. It had a sleep number bed, a huge walk in shower for two with towel warmers, a two sided fireplace, snacks and breathtaking views of Cathedral Rock. But the best part of our stay were our made to order gourmet breakfasts. They were truly made with love.

If you choose the hideaway, you will not be disappointed.

It was our first trip to Sedona and we could not have asked for better hosts. Kathy and Larry have SO much knowledge about the area and they care about making your trip perfect with a passion. They were incredibly generous with their time and advice, and also with whatever resources they could lend to us when we needed them (wading shoes to cross the creek, for example). The rooms are huge and have great views, the breakfasts are delicious and the house has very good access to nearby trails and popular tourist destinations without being in the middle of all the noise. I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We do enjoy helping people enjoy Sedona at it's best. We still remember what it was like many, many years ago when we came here and there were no tour guides, books or Chamber of Commerce to point us in the right direction. At that time there were only three restaurants and about five or six hotels. We want you to have a better experience than we had while trying to find the best trails for our ability etc. Hope to see you again. Warm regards, Kathy and Larry
