I do not give 5 stars very often but this property deserves it. It is older, built in the 1950's, but it is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have a lot of electronics to plug in and charge, you may want to charge your phones/ tablet/ etc. in the car instead of in your room. At least in my room, there were only 2 outlets in the entire room and they both had surge protector strips plugged in. No pool, jacuzzi, or room service, but location, location, location!!!!! You can't do any better than here! As stated before, it is an older property, and it does not have alot of amenities, but if you are looking for a place to sleep, shower, recharge, and cool off in a great location with reasonable rates than this is for you! I highly recommend!
Where the walls made in the 1890’s?? I could hear every conversation through the walls! Don’t get me started on the staff It was the worst. They didn’t care, they had horrible attitudes and I could hear them talking rude about other guests. If you want a horrible stay just sleep in your car for free of rent a ran for 35 dollars and SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! You wouldn’t have to deal with Karen’s at this ONE Star Motel
We absolutely adored this place. My husband and I visited the Grand Canyon this past weekend and after the canyon we decided we wanted to stay the next night in Sedona to visit. The Star motel was the first place we came across just to see if they had a room and they did! Luckily someone cancelled and we were able to get that room for the night. Joyce at the front desk was super sweet and helpful and even told us some cool spots around town we had to visit. AC worked great, TV worked great everything was good. Our only concern was that since the motel is outdoors we actually had a homeless lady knocking on our door at 11:45pm asking for a blanket and me being half asleep I opened the door a little because i thought she was lost. Just be weary since you are right on the street you may get homeless people out and about but other than that we couldn’t hear our neighbors and didn’t hear any cars til about 7am. People start to get loud so keep that in mind. *pictures we’re taken when we were leaving*…
Nope, never again. I could hear everything the next door neighbors did. I could also hear everything in the front office, include when the receptionists decided to talk badly about my daughter. If I want to be insulted, I'll go somewhere else, and do it for free.
Located two blocks from the "Y" intersection and surrounded by shops, galleries, restaurants and bar, the location is this hotels best feature. The rooms are basic, clean and functional. Free parking, WiFi, cable, frig and microwave. No restaurant but many nearby. If looking for a clean place to sleep in a good location, the Star is a good option.
